Jessica's POV

It was the sound of the piano again. I hated how the sound gave me anxiety, and all I wanted to do was find the player and throw him off the piano to stop him from playing. Grumbling, my body automatically followed the sweet yet ugly sound.

I found myself walking closer and closer to the music room. I stood outside the room, staring at the door silently. If he wasn't going to stop...

On the count of three, I threw the door open. The sound that I loved yet hated with a passion hushed instantly.

"Oh" I mumbled when I saw an alarmed Yoongi looking at me. I muttered an apology after his expression softened when he realised it was me. Just as I was about to leave him, the music room and the piano, he hesitantly said, "C-come in.." I bit my lip and looked at him, embarrassed, then I made my way towards him.

"What are you doing?" I questioned, trying to spark a conversation. Yoongi chuckled and gestured to the piano. I looked down and felt my cheeks heat up slightly. 'What a bad question...' I thought.

Yoongi seemed to be thinking about something for a moment, then he smiled softly at me and patted the seat next to him.

I didn't know what to do, so I accepted his atypically friendly invite to sit down beside him.

"Do you know how to play the piano?" Yoongi asked. I shrugged and hit the surface of the piano keys randomly.

Yoongi then brought his hands to the piano and played a short and simple tune. Then he turned to me and I bit my lip nervously.

"mmm..." Yoongi then turned his playing into a piano tutorial. After teaching for a few minutes, I nodded.

'I guess I could try...'

Suga POV

I watched as her fingers randomly pressed the keys from her memory of what I just showed her. In a few attempts, she somehow managed to play out the beautiful melody that the piece was.

My head shot up. "You...you play...?"

Jessica hesitantly continued to let her fingers dance across the keys of the piano, then suddenly stopped.

"Ye-well...not anymore i guess"

She chuckled and let out a heavy sigh, causing my head to shoot up to look at her.

"I miss..." a whisper was heard as Jessica stared at her hands. An awkward silence filled the room.

Suddenly, she forced her head up and smiled at me. "Let's continue, yeah?". Her attention shifted back to the piano as she began to play what I had just tried to teach her.

My gaze moved from her side profile, to her imperfect playing fingers, back to her face. Just as I was about to cough to release the tension I felt, I noticed her expression, her appearance, her...just her. There was a calm look and it seemed as if her emotionless facade never broke, even though she was obviously trying hard to perfect whatever she was playing on the piano. Her chocolate brown hair was tucked behind her ear and I realised that the silver earrings that stood out on her ear really suited her.

As her head tilted to the side, I got a clearer view of her face. I noticed her slightly cracked pink lips...does she drink enough water, does she bite her lips a lot? I noticed her long eyelashes...do they make her eyes itch a lot? I noticed her eyebags...has she not been sleeping well? I noticed her eyes..they were...watery...

Is she okay?

I raised my hand, intending to turn her head to me and carress her cheeks gently, but stopped abruptly. There was something else I haven't noticed.

A faint line ran down her cheeks. I took a closer look at her face, curious to know what it was.

The line was half white and half pinkish. The first thought that came to my mind was 'scar', and from the looks of it, despite how faint it was, I could tell it was probably from a deep injury. How...?

Suddenly, I came back to my senses, realising the awkwardness and lack of a piano sound. Jessica looked up and turned to me. She blinked her eyes several times with a blank look on her face and looked into my eyes. My breath hitched, and I could only stare back into her eyes...I stared deep into them.

and I thought

'I never realised how pretty you are.'

Jessica's POV

After trying multiple times to perfect what Yoongi had taught me, I let my fingers fall down to my side, sighing softly. As I came back to my senses, I felt a lack of movement beside me, so I looked up. Yoongi was staring in my direction with an unreadable expression. Confused, I blinked my eyes several times and looked into his eyes.

Oh...

They looked tired.

But there was something in his eyes, perhaps the depth of it...it somehow lured me to keep staring.

To keep reading his eyes.

Then I realised, he probably was as tired as I was. He probably found this world as cruel as I did. He was probably hiding his world of emotions like me.

Behind his eyes.

His charming eyes...and I thought

'I never realised how beautiful you are.'
