"Talk."

He chews his bottom lip after the words slipped out, not used to ordering the other man. "Please." He says again, more like a whisper this time. The air, it suffocates him. No matter what kind of music that is playing in the background, he is still so stressed to the core with his surroundings. Actually, for being this close to him again is surreal.

"You know that I'm sorry," Adam is eyeing him, wondering how much this person, whom he used to love, has changed. Judging from his appearance, Adam can simply say; a lot. But when he look closely, it is still him. The boy he met and befriended with, the one he dated, hurt and stolen from until there's nothing left in him.

Willie Ralph Payne.

How weird it is for Adam to ever said that name again. And the thoughts of having this guy who sat right in front of him to ever chant his name again,

"Adam, Adam, Adam..."

As he wrapped his hands around his throat, or that night when he drugged him to sleep.

"Hurts... Please stop..."

Adam shake the thoughts off his head. Not anymore, and won't happen again. It was all in the past, and he regrets it still, to ever laid his hands on this childhood friend of his. Especially when he can see clearly that the pain he caused years ago was still left in Willie.

"But I don't think I can ever be with you again."  He finishes his sentence as he brushes his fingers against Willie's. Making the younger lad lower his gaze, to their tattooed hands. His brows are furrowed, probably trying to get what Adam just said. And Adam on the other hand, wants to punch himself just right in the face.

His action. His words. He can never understand his own self.

"I... Understand." Willie pulls his hands and keep them close to himself, then wrapping his arms around to hug himself. He keeps his gaze around, to the old couple in the corner, then shifts to the frowning bartender, anywhere but on Adam. "You are... Married." It's like he is trying to ensure himself, because honestly, he still can't believe it. Even when he was there at the very day Adam was a captivating groom who was standing alongside his equally beautiful bride.

He wonders if these people have ever had a heartbreak, for even once.. Maybe the bartender ever faced a rough situation, where he had trouble convincing the woman he loves to marry him because he is not the successful man every girl wants. Or maybe the old couple fight sometimes when they were younger, complaining for being stuck for too long with each other. And maybe, this waitress who is filling his cup at the moment, ran away from home just to be with her boyfriend who is wiping the other table.

How did they through it? He never knows. But then again, these people also don't know what he has been through and what happened between him and the guy who is sitting in front of him.

"What I've been questioning is," He turns his gaze finally to the other guy and holds it there, right in those hazel eyes, which once stared back at him every night in the past,

"Why did you leave me?"
