"Louis! You need to hurry, their expecting you in 20 minutes!" my mom yells from the living room
I quickly comb my hair once more and straighten my shirt. I'm fixing to go eat dinner with my girlfriend, Cali, at her house. Her dad doesn't really like me, but I'm just glad I'll get to spend time with Cali.
Quickly, I grab my phone and wallet and put them in my back pockets and head into the living room.
"I'm ready." I say, my mom smiles and walks towards me
"Youre so handsome, Louis." my mom says quietly, giving me a hug
"Thanks.." I say quietly back, and release from the hug.
She grabs the car keys and walks out the door, I follow.
My mom opens my door for me and I nod a thank you to her. I can't wait to see Cali. We've been dating for about 2 months, but she always comes to my house. It's gonna be weird my first time at her house, but I'll get used to it.
When we pull up in Cali's driveway, my moms eyes widen,"This place is very nice." my mom wows
"Very nice.." I agree
I open my door and walk up to her house. My mom waves to me as she pulls out of the driveway. All the flowers are perfectly grown and the grass is cut and very green.
I take a deep breath and ring the doorbell.
"Hello, Louis!" Cali's mom says, pulling me into a hug
"Hello." I say quietly
"Youre so handsome, Cali talks about how handsome you are all the time, but now I see why." she smiles, stepping back from me
I look over and see Cali's, I'm guessing dad, standing a few feet away from us.
"Hey,you must be Cali's dad.?" I awkwardly say extending my hand out towards him.
He ignores my gesture and walks into what looks like the kitchen. Cali's mom gives me a small smile and leads me down the hall.
"Cali?" she says knocking on a door.
"Coming, mum." I hear Cali yell from inside the room
Cali opens the door and her eyes sparkle when she see's me standing by her mom.
"Louis!" she sqeals, hugging me tightly
I laugh,"Hi Cal."
"Dinner's ready, by the way." Cali's mom says and we follow her to the kitchen
Cali keeps her arm hooked around mine as we walk. Cali's dad notices and his jaw clenches. I decide to not look at him.
I pull out Cali's chair and she gives me a big smile and pulls mine out, giggling.
I sit down and awkwardly look around. I notice a tall man walk into the kitchen and grab a Dr.Pepper from the fridge. He leans against the counter and looks at me.
"Who are you?" he says disgusted
"uh, L-loueh.. Cali's girlfriend." I stutter
He gives a weak smile,"Nice to meet you, I'm Harry.. her brother.
He has many tattoos is wearing a black beanie. His accent is way deep compared to Cali's accent.
Cali's mom appears, breaking the awkwardness and Harry leaves the kitchen.
"What would you like to drink, Louis?" her mom asks
"Do you have lemonade?" I ask
"Yes we do." she smiles walking to the fridge
"I love you, Louis." Cali whispers, leaning her head against my shoulder
"I love you, Cali." I smile and look into her blue eyes, they're so gorgeous
She blushes and looks away.
Cali's mom hands me my lemonade and gives everyone their plates of food.
A few minutes into dinner, Harry walks in.
"I'm going out." he says opening the door
"Are you hungry?" Cali's mom says
"I'm fine." he rudely says, rolling his eyes
He looks at me and gives me a smirk then walks out.
We have casual, yet nice, dinner. We discuss our school and our relationship.
After dinner, Cali and I lay on the big L-shape couch in her living room and watch Twilight, her choice of course.
"Is your brother,like, rude?" I ask, breaking the silence
"Is he rude?" she starts,"no not at all, only the nicest brother in the entire world." her words sarcastic
"Really?" I ask
"No, he's very rude. I don't let my friends around him because how bad he is. One time he gave my friend Kaidey a black eye. I don't remember the reason, but he's very aggressive. I don't want to get hurt, Louis, so can you please not talk to him?" she pretty muchs begs
"Oh wow, yea I guess. If he's that bad."
"Thank you." she smiles and kisses my check
