Cas probably would've been asleep if he were human. He looked up at Dean who had closed eyes.

"Dean?" He whispered. No response. He had so many things he wanted to say to him, but the thought of unleashing all of that emotion gave him butterflies. But Dean was asleep now, and he wouldn't hear him. "Dean, when I found you in hell, I didn't know what to think. When I saw you torture those souls, I thought I was too late. But now I know, I wasn't too late. I never would've been too late. Because you're never too late...for love.

"And when I met you in that warehouse, something just came over me. Some sort of emotion. At the time, I didn't know what it was. Now I am...quite sure I know. Dean Winchester, I think I love you. I think I will always love you. You and your perfect imperfections." There was a moment of silence.

"I love you too, Cas." Dean muttered in his sleep.

Cas looked up at him and smiled. He glanced at Dean's watch. They had been up there for about an hour and a half. They could go for another two hours.
