"Do you think she'll be out when we get back?", I asked Brody, hopping back in the car. The pizza ended up being amazing, even if the waitress was a whore.

"Probably.", he said turning the ignition on. He pulled out of the parking lot and started down the highway. The inside of the car was quiet, only the sound of passing cars making noise. "I can't do the quiet.", I turned the volume on the radio back up.

The song started and my face brightened. "I love this song!"

"'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love."
"Not knowing what it was."
"I will not give you up this time."
"But darling, just kiss me slow."
"Your heart is all I own."
"And in your eyes your holding mine."

I sang the lyrics to Brody, staring into his beautiful blue eyes. His staring between mine and the road. The next part then came;

"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark."
"With you between my arms."
"Barefoot on the grass."
"Listening to our favorite song."
"When you said you looked a mess."
"I whispered underneath my breath."
"But you heard it,"
"Darling, you look perfect."

Brody finished the rest of the chorus for me. He has a beautiful voice, just like the rest of him. You couldn't erase the smile from my face. Everything about this moment is amazing.

He then turned the car off of the highway and onto a dirt road, leading into an empty field. Jumping out of his side of the car, he ran to my side opening the door for me. "What are you doing?", I laughed, the smile never leaving my face. I never got an answer, just;

"Well, I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know."
"She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home."
"I found a love to carry more than just my secrets."
"To carry love, to carry children of our own."

I still sat in the passenger seat, listening to Brody sing the next part of the song, my hand in his. Did he really want all of those things? A home of our own? love? secrets? Children? Right now, none of those things matter though. We're here together, sharing this moment together, that's what matters.

"We are still kids but we're so in love."
"Fighting against all odds."
"I know we'll be alright this time."
"Darling, just hold my hand."
"Be my man, I'll be your girl."
"I see my future in your eyes."

I stepped out of the car, my hand still in his. He twirled me around once, slowly. Turning back to face him, I put both of my hands behind his neck. He continued the rest of the chorus;

"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark."
"With you between my arms."
"Barefoot on the grass."
"Listening to our favorite song."
"When I saw you in that dress."
"Looking so beautiful."
"I don't deserve this."
"Darling, you look perfect tonight."

We slowly danced together as he finished the chorus. Fireflies flew around us, lighting up the field. The closing part came and we sung together;

"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark."
"With you between my arms."
"Barefoot on the grass."
"Listening to our favorite song."
"I have faith in what I see."
"Now I know I have met an angel in person."
"And you look perfect."
"I don't deserve this."
"You look perfect."

Our foreheads are pressed together, each staring into each others eyes. His crystal blue ones staring into my chocolate brown ones. He leaned in the rest of the way and placed a small but passionate kiss on my lips.

"I don't deserve this.", I said, repeating the lyrics. My voice was barely above a whisper. Brody leaned by in, kissing me again.

"You deserve to be kissed, everyday, every hour, every minute.", he replied, pulling away. I smiled, and rested my head on his shoulder.

Everything's perfect. Brody's perfect.
