[Xavier's View]
I heard a faint sound of bells ringing but I wasn't exactly sure what it was until someone came in and hollered at us.
"Get Up The Lot Of You!" A voice boomed and I flew up off the bed and got into a fighting stance only to see Melody fall to the floor laughing. I glared at her and helped Emerald off the floor. We were both in a state of panic and I couldn't help but want to laugh.
"My skies, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you that badly," Melody apologized and I couldn't take her word on it.
"Uh huh, yeah," I shot back and grabbed my bag. I handed Emerald his and helped Melody off the floor. We grabbed our weapons then followed Melody down stairs to where she showed us the library but continued down that hallway. We continued past the strange door and out a large gateway that came out at the foot of the mountain. We exited into the town and I looked back up at the mountain in awe. Melody grabbed my collar and dragged me along as Emerald followed. It looked as if we were heading for the front gate but took a sharp left into an ally way. I wasn't ready for the sharp turn and fell into the cobblestone. Emerald helped me up quickly as Melody checked around.
"Jeez, what's with the sharp turns?" I groaned pushing myself up off the floor.
"Sorry, trying to make sure no one gets on our trail," Melody apologized and lead us through the ally way. We ended up exiting through a small gate on the west side of the city. She basically shoved us both through the door and we landed in a small bush not too far away. I climbed out and helped Emerald up as Melody closed the doorway.
"Shall we head out?" She asked as we looked around.
"I guess so,, better to waste as little time as possible, am I wrong?" I suggested as we set off towards one of the wolf camps. I didn't know which one it was but Melody had the map so I assumed we were going the right way. We walked on for a while when Melody handed me the map and drew her bow. Emerald and I began looking around frantically not knowing what Melody was doing.
"Is it sylph's?" Emerald asked and Melody shook her head. She called something but said it so fast I couldn't quite catch it. A rustling noise came from a shrub and an arrow was fired in that direction.
"Ow!" Something hollered and I drew my sword faster than I could think.
"Arm down X," Melody snapped and I sheeted my sword. The bushes began rustling more as Oro came into view.
"Fuckin knew it," Melody muttered.
"Was the shot really necessary?" He moaned as Melody threw her bow over her shoulder.
"You snuck out after us. You've got your own explainin to do," She shot back. Oro went silent for a moment as the tension rose. I looked between the two of them growing slightly more worried as the silence lasted.
"I... this is gonna sound dumb alright but hear me out. I wanted to go on an adventure with you," He began and Melody tried to lower her temper, "look, I know you and I don't get along but I wanted to get out of the city before I passed." Melody took a moment before responding, I assumed she was trying to contain her rage.
"Look Oro, I understand that you want to get out of the city... but I don't want you to die on this mission," She sighed.
"Die? What would possibly make you come to that assumption?" Oro snapped.
"If you were paying attention, our dumb asses are going to the warring werewolf camps to try and stop the fighting before the world is launched into another Holy War!" Melody fired back extremely pissed, Oro was stunned for a split second realizing what we were walking into.
