A familiar knock outside his secluded apartment was heard, it was his best friend, or known by the gossips as the former romantic partner of Ellejo. Loud knocks are made evident by him not giving a damn about the thud of the dark-tinted old door. Lazily, he gave up and covered up his current piece to get up his chair and open the door.

"Abuela gave me this menudo and Corazon isn't home that's why I'm going to share it with you instead." Fidel chimed in.

"Should I praise you for ruining my momentum over a meal, Fidel? I highly suggest you staying out of this room for me to suit myself." Ellejo spat stoically.

"How's Gaia? I haven't seen her in ages!" Fidel, completely ignoring Ellejo's reply. "Is she still in Roque Catalona's wake?"

"—with Eduardo." Ellejo added. No marks of emotion were seen from his face.

"Oh, the surgeon. Wait, what's that smell? You're obviously not neat with it. Do you want me to call someone to clean it for you?" Fidel said.

"A carcass of a pig is laying at the kitchen, fresh from Montvíe. I'm using its heart for my next piece. Want to take over and be my medium of choice? —Now!" He made a face and pointed at the door like a ruthless dictator making him leave. His friend sensed that his blood is starting to boil from anger of some sort. He sprinted out of the room, leaving a blank canvas-like Ellejo with a bowl of hot and piping Menudo on the table.

After Fidel left the apartment, a familiar tune of Que Sera, Sera from his old gramophone started playing. As he was starting to melt into the abyss of his rotting chair, he realized that it was his monthly visitor again, René, the late twin of Ellejo Domenech.

"My, my Elle! It seems that you have truly agreed with the invitation I sent you. It'll call for a celebration!" René said with a serious growl of laughter that came from the gramophone.

Ellejo, silently nodding with the suggestion of his twin that has been bugging him for months. Make something for his dear wife, Gaia, who is still busy traveling around Catalonia with all the famous bachelors. He picked up the invitation with the headline Valentine's Exhibit that his brother gave him and held it like an answer to all his problems. Before dying, he wanted to take part on this prestigious event that only a few can join.

When he was done with the release of heart from the cadaver, he then left his apartment and started putting all the remains under the bridge of Montvíe. It was a crimson day for the soon to retire artist. Going back inside the apartment, Ellejo decided to sit on his favorite red couch that resembled like the luscious lips of Galarina and La Fornarina of Raphael.

"Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. The future is not ours to see, but we living in the future and present in the past." Ellejo concluded with one spoon on the other hand.

He then started sleeping with his eyes awake. This trick was from his late brother, and the moment he drops the spoon into the floor means that a hypnic jerk has already occurred and all the hallucinations will be the basis for his art pieces.

As soon as the teaspoon slowly falls down like someone committing suicide, familiar images are starting to appear. Loud sirens from the autopsy team, shutter clicks from the camera of journalists, devastated faces of the unknown, and a lifeless body of a surgeon without his heart all coming from the bridge of Montvíe.

"Have you heard the news? First it was Roque, now Doctor Eduardo! Both of their hearts gone missing and their first name initials are caved beside their open chest. This doesn't make any sense, good thing all they have is fame, not a family getting left behind." Earl said. "—also, both of them recently dated Gaia." He whispered inside a political convention he organized for the upcoming election.
