It all started when I was seventeen.
My mother, who was a full-Thai went to Korea because she thought of expanding our business back in Thailand.
She loved the country, and decided to stay here for good. She was pregnant with me back then, and having a language barrier it was kind of hard for her to cope up. Plus, she and Dad was divorced so she got all her support from my grandfather who came along with her.
She and his mom met in a hospital. She was one of the private nurses there and the two just clicked. Coincidentally, she was also pregnant with him. They became inseperable ever since.
When I was eight and he was seven (I was months older than him and it was August then), I tried myself to get close to him. Yet, he shut everyone out, including his very own mother.
I can't reach out to him, as if he was really born to be ice king. We were childhood buddies, yet we were never friends to begin with.
But since then, I liked his mysteriousness and his cute little habits to crinkle his nose. I liked everything about him so he pretty much avoided me... again. He never said a word to me except those three little words that haunted me ever since.
You disgusted me.
It was my turn to avoid him, and I was oblivious, thinking that he will chase me now that I'm out of his way. I was completely wrong. He was still the same.
But the funniest part was that when our moms hang out together, we kinda agreed that we pretend to be the 'best of friends.' His words, not mine.
And when we stepped the age of seventeen, the two told us that we'll marry each other after college. I felt ecstastic about it, but then he walked away from us and never came back two days later.
And that's when I found out that his hand intertwined with another's hand, I already lost.

"Lalisa, wake up!" I brushed off my thoughts when I saw Chaengie waving her hand in front of me. I looked at my surroundings and I was still in my Psychology 101 class. Me and Chaeyoung was taking BS Pysch and we're on our third years.
"I've been spacing out, haven't I?"
She rolled her eyes. "Well, duh. Who wouldn't? You're probably worrying about your MIA 'fiancé.'" She quoted. Like my mom and his mom, Chaeyoung and I also clicked. Having her around was the best, and she's my only mental support, aside from my mom.
I just sighed as an answer. "He still haven't showed up in last night's dinner. Aunt Jihee must've been worried sick about him."
"His mother or just you?" She nudged beside of my stomach and I can't help but giggle. I have that tickle spot.
"Of course her mother. But I can't help but worry too."
"If I were you, just find someone else. There's lots of fishes in the sea, as they quoted. You shouldn't waste time who doesn't even notice your whole personality."
I sighed as I felt my heart throb. I know I'm sensitive but I can't help but pity myself in these situations regarding him. "I love him, Chae. That's all that matters."

Please don't kill me for making Lisa like this. Haha.
