Your POV
"He somehow always managed to be there at the time I needed him the most. He held up my wings when I refused to do so myself."

After spending a very late night up watching kdrama with Nao and Jin the three of us had a difficult time convincing each other that it was worth getting up and going to school for today but we managed which was mainly thanks to mum saying she'd split Jin in two if we didn't. Jin accompanied us on the walk to school instead of being like a normal brother and walking separately and entertained us with loud groans and complaints about how mum always scolded him and not me.
"You totally deserve it," I laughed at him. "You're supposed to be responsible, maybe you could have forced us to go to sleep earlier."
"Even if I had tried I wouldn't have succeeded," He moaned.
"Stop this sad behavior," Nao chuckled. "Man up!"
"Y/N, you need to stop teaching your friends to be sassy," Jin said with a mock pout as if he had been hurt by Nao's exclamation but he suddenly perked up a moment later when his eyes caught something across the street. "Hey, Jimin! Taehyung!" He called loudly, making Nao and me cover our ears with our hands and send him reproachful looks. Taehyung looked as though he flinched at being called out to on the streets but Jimin simply brightened and waved vigorously over to us. A couple people sent Jin irritated looks but he ignored them. "Guys, over here!" Jin shouted again. Taehyung, still resembling a deer caught in the headlights, exchanged a glance with his companion before cautiously stepping onto the road and hurrying across with Jimin hard on his heels.
"Hyung," Jimin said pleasantly once the pair had arrived safely to the other side. "And ladies," He turned to Nao and me shooting us a cheeky grin. I tried my best to conceal my smile. Jimin was certainly a charmer.
"Hey Jimin." Nao giggled girlishly and fluttered her eyelashes in his direction. I snorted and turned my attention to Taehyung who I noticed was staring at me, or rather my hand.
"Taehyung, hi," I greeted simply and he wrenched his gaze away from my left hand. "Something catch your eye?" I asked and suddenly felt weird at the thought of him staring at my hand and not seeing the red string like I did.
"Not really," he replied casually but I could tell he was deeply pondering over something. There was an outburst of laughs nearby and I turned to see Hitomi Kido was walking with her friends and again she wore that same overly cheery mask. My good mood dropped as it always did when I saw her bearing that thing except today it was even worse. The smile had somehow broadened in every way letting me know that her mental condition had worsened. A sick feeling grew savagely in the pit of my stomach. I didn't even know her and yet I always worried for her. I blinked, suddenly realizing that Taehyung was also staring at her with a sorrowful face.
"What's wrong?" I asked him, confused. "Do you know her?" Taehyung jumped a bit before staring at me with intense eyes, I never knew eyes could hold such emotion. My mouth dried and I stared at him for a moment, somehow caught up in his gaze that seemed beautiful to me.
"I don't know her." He said breaking me out of my daze. I wet my lips and gulped, quite disturbed at the affect just his eyes had, had on me.
"I see," I muttered awkwardly. I walked to Nao and linked her arm in mine. "Let's hurry to school while Jin talks with his friends," I said brightly.
"Okay," she smiled and waved goodbye to the boys. "See you all around," she chimed and made a sweet face at them.
"Bye Nao!" Jimin called fondly and then hastily added, "See you Y/N." I snorted in reply to him and then dragged Nao forward with me. But I couldn't resist sending hurried looks over at Taehyung and I could almost feel him doing the same. 'Had we had a moment?' I mused to myself. 'Nah, as always you're overthinking things.' Once we had arrived at school we parted ways and I continued on to my first class for that morning. I became suddenly aware of an uncomfortable weight on my bladder and decided that stopping by the toilet before class started wasn't going to hurt. I swung the door open only to shrink back behind it as a lone figure came into view. Hitomi. She was staring into the large mirror above the sinks, face inches away from the glass. A dark fog hung in the air around her head which seemed to resemble storm clouds. Whispers like icy despair rushed through the air, heavy on the ears and yet mumbled and quiet.
