Chapter 1: Tyler's House

~ Josh's Perspective ~
It's 8:00 am and my alarm goes off. I decide to get up and eat. What should I have for breakfast this morning? I think to myself. I find some bread sitting on the counter and decide to make some toast, with jam of course. I eat the toast and go take a shower. I put on my clothes - a white t-shirt with black pants - and text Tyler. It's 8:34 am, so I assume he's up by now.
Me: Yo, you awake?
Tyler: Yeah, I just woke up, why?
Me: I wanted to hang out today
Tyler: Sweet. My house?
Me: Sounds good
Tyler: Okay, cya in 30?
Me: Yup
At 9 am I start walking towards his house. We live in the same neighbourhood, so I don't have to go very far. I knock on the door, waiting for Tyler to answer.
Tyler: That you?
Me: Yep, I'm here
He opens the door quickly. "Hey!" He says enthusiastically. He looks happy to see me, almost a bit too happy. I look around. "Yo, you got any video games?" I ask him. I can see he's thinking about something. "Sorry, I don't. We can watch Netflix, though." He suggests. We walk into his room and sit on the bed together. He starts scrolling through. I can see he looks a bit frustrated. "Ugh, there's nothing to watch." Tyler complains. He hands me the remote. I start scrolling until something catches my eye. It's Spongebob Squarepants! "Hey, wanna watch Spongebob?" I ask him. Soon enough, we're watching Spongebob. We both sing along to the iconic theme song.
