Forgot to mention this in the first chapter XD. PotatoTheChip is a super good writer and y'all should check them out. I'm fact, they're writing a Leo x reader and recently came out with the prologue. I hope you guys go and check them out at some point.

Ever since that fateful night, the city kept getting weirder. The bad part of town only for safer, alien sightings became a usual, even skeptics were opening up due to the mountains of evidence. It's been a year since I saw those turtles, and a year since I gained that single red sai. I kept it in a shoe box in my closet, taking extra care to hide it from my mother.

Tonight in fact was the anniversary of the event. I was not focused at all in school today. I felt as if my mind was somewhere else and that my body had gone into autopilot. I sighed in my lay block and looked out the window remembering the jade irises that had stolen my attention, even if they weren't there.

"Ms. (L/n), please tell me the answer to number 10."

The female voice abruptly pulled me out of my trance. I looked up and stared at the board. I looked at the number and blinked once. Find the zeros of the equation. Then state what method is best to find the x intercept on the parabola?

"I'm not sure sir."

He grunted and shot me a disgruntled look. He purses his lips and shook his head. I was not a class favorite of his, he made me miserable. He says I don't answer enough questions. He opened his big mouth and inhaled sharply, only to exhale sharp words.

"And this class, is the reason we pay attention in school. In order to achieve mastery on your Algebra 2 regents you must pay attention, more that was Ms. (L/n) is putting in at the moment."

Normally, this would tick me off. Upset me and make me want to strangle his fat neck. But today, those slim green eyes were all I could focus on. He turned around and something about not getting paid enough. I quietly turned my head and looked back out the window.

Could it be that he is still out there, looking for his missing weapon? Could it be my fault he hasn't found it yet? Or maybe he knows I took it and left it as a gift? He could just not care about it.

So many question ran through my head, too many questions ran through. It was like a marathon inside of my head but instead of people running it was thoughts that all lead to those jade irises that had captivated me.

Last bell rang and I jotted down my homework for the night. I yawned and sling my backpack over my shoulder. I yawned and began to walk out. I was stopped by my teacher.

"Please sit down with me for a moment."

I nodded. He took my to his desk. He sat down and I sat down across from him, he asked the last student out to close the door. I became very nervous very quickly.

"So, let's get this straight. Why aren't you paying attention to one do the most important classes you'll take?"

I unknowingly cock and eyebrow. When will I ever need Algebra 2? My attitude began to show very quickly and nothing was stopping it he might as well keep a plant in here for all the oxygen he wastes through dumb questions like the one he just asked.

"My mind is somewhere else today sir."

He rolled his eyes and pursed his lips. He stood up and began to pace. He was thinking. About what? Either a punishment or going to ask-

"What's on your mind?"

"Something that happened." I answered quickly. "It's important to me."

"Well what happened?"

"None of your business!!" I answered hastily and loudly. I covered my mouth quickly. He quirked an eyebrow and pointed to the door.

"That's enough. Get out and go home."

I pulled my backpack over my shoulder and didn't look back. My teacher was snotty and uptight. He was from the rich part of town and he knew that this was a poor area. He thinks he's better than everyone else and that he's the most important thing to happen to this world. I hated him.

A few hours later, I looked out of my window. It was dark and the moon shone brightly against my (s/t) skin. I closed my eyes recalling those piercing green eyes against the contrasting bright red mask. I held the Sai close to my heart. I hope I can return this to him someday.

April disappeared with her secret friends once again. That made me sad, she was one of my only friends on account of me being quite shy, so me wanting to actually engage in interaction with this turtle creature is a rare desire. Casey also disappeared frequently as well.

I watched the clouds change and shift over top of the full moon. The stars shine like little led lights covering a black sheet. The moon shone a milky white light onto my silky hair. I finally opened my eyes and looked out to the city.

I reached my hand out in a desperate attempt to touch the turtle man, or at least his memories. Does he remember me, or am I normal thing that happens? Will I be forgotten just as food prints on a beach are washed away by the tides and forgotten by time? Have the tides of his memories washed me away?

His jade eyes made a permanent marking on the sandy shores of my mind that the washing memory tides can not wash away. He has made his mark on me. His voice, his eyes, his hands, his weapon. I closed my eyes again and cliched the handle.

"Toss the Sai over here."

I opened my eyes abruptly and looked around the area, my (e/c) scanning my surroundings. I felt my senses become heightened by fear.

"I know you're not deaf so just slide the Sai over onto the fire escape."

I looked to the source of the sound. It was beside my window. I stuck my whole head out and to the left. Then I looked right. There was nothing.

"Up here ditz."

I looked up. Jade. Green piercing eyes stared into my (e/c) ones. I gasped and stumbled back into my room! My heart picked up as the turtle with the green eyes crawled through my window. He dusted himself off, then walked over to me. He held out his hand, I reached for it. He was trying to help me!

He swiped the Sai from my chest and rolled his eyes. He turned around and began to walk away. So much for help.

"Hey! Who are you?"

I questioned him. He turned around, his eyebrows curled and a sneer on his face.

"I'm a freak, that's what I am."

"No! I want your name."

His eyes widened for a second. Soon after they returned to their thin self.

"Raphael. And if anyone asks, I don't exist. Got it girly?"

I nodded.

"Do you want my name?"

"Fine if that makes you feel better."

"(Y/n)."

"Great great. Now that formalities are out of the way, I'll be leaving."

"WAIT!"

"WHAT?!"

"Take this!"

I handed him a crumpled sticky note with my number on it. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his... nose? He balled it up and stuck it into his holster.

"Expect a call sometime."

I nodded, and in the blink of an eye, he left. My curtains swayed perfectly in the wind. I smiled to myself and ran up to the window. There he was. Jumping from roof to roof. What a turtle.
