Sven and Sein charged down the mountainside with the twins and redheads on their backs. Olaf and Ellie slid along beside them, penguin-style.
Andrew had been growing steadily weaker, his decrease, much like his hair, slower and steadier than Anna’s, but more frightening as he slowly drooped; Now he was shivering as badly as Anna was, curled up against Kristine’s back. Kristine took off her hat and put it on his head. “Just hang in there, Andrew. C’mon, girl, faster!” She urged Sein.
After a few minutes, they arrived at the walls of Arendelle. Olaf and Ellie slid past them, out of control. “We’ll meet you guys at the castle!” Olaf yelled.
“Stay out of sight, guys!” Kristoff called.
“We will!” Ellie promised.
As they rode on, Kristine overheard them greeting someone and a resulting yelp of ‘Ah! It’s alive!’ She smirked.
They made their way quickly up to the gates of the castle, rushing as fast as they could towards the royal fiancées.
“It’s Prince Andrew and Princess Anna!” A guard yelled.
The reindeer skidded to a halt outside the gates. The twins slid off, helping the redheads off, Kristoff carrying Anna up to the gates as Andrew limped behind them, leaning heavily on Kristine’s shoulder.
“I’ve got you.” Kristoff promised.
“… Are you g-gonna be okay?” Anna peered up at him.
Kristoff smiled warmly. “Don’t worry about me.” He said reassuringly.
The castle gates swung open. Kai, Kairi, Gerda, Gene and a pair of handmaids rushed out to help the royals. “Anna! Andrew! Oh, you had us worried sick.” Gerda helped her to her feet.
“My Lord… you are freezing.” Kari noted, concerned.
“You poor things, you’re so cold. Let’s get you two inside.” Gerda guided them both through the gate.
“Get them warm and find their fiancées immediately.” Kristine instructed.
“We will. Thank you.” Kai nodded.
Anna and Andrew were swept away from the twins and into the palace grounds.
“Make sure they’re safe!” Kristoff called as the gates closed in his face.
The four of them stood there for a few moments, staring with worry at the closed gates. Kristoff sighed and turned on his heel, walking away from the gates. Sven and Sein reluctantly followed him, but Kristine stared hard at the gates for another several seconds, glancing up at the battlements before following her brother with a sigh.
