I watch-
Looking out the windows
Light streaming in
Water seeps through
Millions of windows
Above me
Beside me
Walls ripple with the wind
Birds chirp from their nests
Squirrels scatter
I watch
Clouds roll
Across a still blue sky
Droplets fall
My eyes are closed
Every drop washes
My fears roll with it
Thunder rumbles
Stomach grumbles
Lightening flashes
A brilliant smile
I watch
Critters hide
Birds droop
Cars fly
Across the pavement
Rocks sing
Flowers welcome
Buildings stand
Their ground
Water streams
Like sorry tears
I accept
And I watch
Walls sway
And floors too
Music patters
Grass embraces
Cold mercy
Blue wisps
Gray retreats
And so do I
Then
I watch
-the rain
