Boring Chapter #... 10?

Kakashi’s POV

The day after the trial, Ibiki came to visit me in the hospital. He said he had spoken with Lady Tsunade but all he could get out of her were muffled laughs and drunken slurs.

“So what happened at the trial?”

“I’m not sure if I’m legally allowed to tell you.” I said, flipping another page in my book.

Ibiki hunched his shoulders looking put out. “Would someone just tell me already?”

“It involves Danzo.” I said, watching his reaction.

“What? How does Danzo fit into all this?”

“He was a key player actually.”

Ibiki sank into the chair by the bed that Akira had occupied only a few hours before. “Oh?”

“I can’t tell you any details, but Akira managed to get the whole situation swept under the rug.”

“What? How?” His eyes gleamed with intrigue.

“She bullied Danzo. Got him to sweep it all away, just so he could save face.”

Ibiki looked puzzled for a moment. “Are you telling me, a 16 year old girl with a bad rap sheet managed to get a high ranking military and government official to drop the charges, by blackmailing him?”

“Pretty much.”

Ibiki let out a gruff laugh. “That girl has this place under her thumb  now doesn’t she?”

“Seems like it.” I smiled. “It’s cause for worry.”

He shook his head. “Don’t be. It’s obvious that girl can handle herself. So does she have any plans for when she passes?”

“Who says she’s going to pass?” I asked. “There’s still another trial to go and from what Tsunade tells me, it’ll be most difficult for offensive types like Akira.”

“She’ll pass.” He said getting up to leave. “I don’t pick my students lightly.”

“I don’t think I’ve heard of you ever having a student.”

“Nope. She’ll be the first. And then, I can retire.” He smiled, leaving me alone in the room again.

“I don’t know how, but I’m going to make sure she never becomes an anbu.”

It wasn’t long after that, that another visitor came to see me. Jiraiya knocked politely at the door this time, wandering in and leaning against the window sill. He told me that the others were back and gave me what information he could gain.

“What did you say? Naruto and the other fought Sasuke?” I asked after he told me my team had returned.

“Yes…”

“But their original mission was to…”

“Yes, their mission was to capture the spy Sasori sent to Orochimaru.and bring him back to the hidden leaf, and to get information about Orochimaru and Sasuke as well. But Sasori’s spy, Kabuto Yakushi, already had Sasori’s jutsu broken by Orochimaru. And it seems Orochimaru tried to use this opportunity to kill Sasori, not knowing that the real Sasori was already dead… Naruto made contact with Orochimaru, became unable to control his emotions… and ran amuck.”

Of course he ran amuck, on scale of importance Sasuke is up there with ramen and my daughter.

“Naruto eventually released his fourth tail...and went wild. Orochimaru did battle with the nine tails Naruto. Even he probably reached his limit… it seems he tried to disappear while Yamato was attempting to control Naruto. However Yamato’s clone secretly pursued Orochimaru. Finally, they found Orochimaru’s hideout and made their way in.Then it seems they encountered Sasuke and a battle ensued.”
