like the title suggests i am having some troubles with my name change.
1. my friends (except for one) are having some trouble with calling me Leo
2. my mother is obviously supportive but is having difficulty calling me Leo and using he/him pronouns
3. one of my friends (kristian) are having trouble calling me Leo because he simply doesn't like the name Leo :/
So my friend Kristian doesn't like the name Leo. so i told him "i dont care what you call me as long as its not (birth name)" so now every time he talks to me he calls me a different boy name.
my mum has said that its hard to shake off old habits. i didnt know what she meant until i relized she was talking about calling me Leo and using he/him. I honestly dont mind to much i dont have disphoria or anything but it is a little strange now hearing someone call me (insert birth name)
side story:
i had told my friend Manuel that i am gay about a week ago and the funny thing was that today my friend had called me Leo (she remembered) then Manuel said "Leo?" i said "ya dude"
then he looked at me like i was a stranger then was distracted by my other friend.
