chapter 18

Tobias' POV

We are home from the hospital and Tris' mum said that I can stay at Tris' house because she doesn't like me being alone in my house. They have lots of spare rooms so it was okay. My room is about half the size of Tris' and I am so grateful for everything. The room is really modern and a cool design, i do have a few things from my old room, but mostly natalie put in. (pic on right)

Tonight we have truth or dare round Zeke and Uriah's and i am so glad to be able to do something normal, after for months of me being in a coma, of Tris being by my side 24/7, and the others coming in nearly every day and constantly worrying about both of us. We need to just chill. Tris and i both wear a fair amount of layers for truth or dare. When we arriv everyone else is already sitting in a circle. "ME FIRST!!!" Screams Chris, we all agree. "Four, truth or dare?" I know what she wants to ask so i say "truth" "what is your real name, and what is your story?" I feel Tris tense, and Zeke and Uriah look shocked. "you don't have to" Tris whispers. I shake my head to her. "its fine, my real nam is Tobias, i am the mayor's son, he used to beat me" I turn and show them my scars. "he hates my guts, the night it happened, he was drunk and hit me over the head with a beer bottle. He is now in prison and I am staying in Tris' house." everyone who didn't know looks shocked but doesn't look at me like I'm a kicked puppy. I silently thank them for that. just then there's a knock on the door. I need to get up for a minute so I go. As soon as I open the door I regret it. Marlene is there, and she crashes her lips on to mine, I try to push her away but she is strong, and my strength has deteriorated. She pulls away for a breath and I let out a quick help, but she soon is on me again.

Tris' POV

we are all waitin for Tobias to come back when we hear a small cry for help, its him. I immediately spring up and shoot out into the hall to see Marlene kissing Tobias, and him trying to get away. I feel anger surge through me I walk up to them and yank her off of him, I then punch her and throw her out. "FOR GODS SAKE MARLENE, HE HAS JUST COME OUT OF A FOUR MONTH COMA, THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE HIM OFF LIFE SUPPORT THIS MORNING, HE DOES NOT NEED YOUr CRAP RIGHT NOW SO EF OFF!" I slam the door in her face and turn to see everyone applauding. i laugh and collapse onto Tobias. "thank you" he whispers. I stand on my tiptoes and kiss him. "NO PDA!" yells Uriah we all lugh and go back in to continue the game.
