Chapter 3 "Die"

What's wrong with him? Ba't ang hirap niyang intindihin? He loves me but why is he like that?

Akala niya ba siya lang 'yong nagiistruggle sa relasyon namin dati? Ako rin naman ah! But never did I tell him that I'm tired. Never did I give up.

And that... that I prioritized other things? Hindi ba siya 'yong nauna?

I looked at my phone that didn't stop from buzzing.

'Pick up your phone, you silly mushroom!'

'Where are you?'

'I need money, where should I meet you?'

Tsk! Ano 'ko tanga? Why does he need to send me such stupid text messages? I'm just broken not stupid!

"Try to call my brother, I'll kill you!" I pointed my finger right to his chest.

It's my first day of school and here I am, looking wasted.

I downed my seventh glass of wine and felt the effect all over my system. How stupid? Who even invented this liqour na hindi ko man lang maramdaman na makalimot sa nangyari kanina. Instead it keeps on flashing and flashing nonstop inside my head.

He loves me but he can't stay...

Ano bang gusto niya! Bakit niya ginagawa 'to sa akin?

I felt my world turned a bit mussy. Akala ko babagsak na ako sa sahig nang maramdaman ko ang kamay na umalalay sa akin.

"Ayos ka lang, Ma'am?"

I slapped him. Para magising siya. Lasing ako but I can still identify someone who's okay and who isn't. O baka inaantok na siya? He doesn't have any right to feel sleepy right now. Baka nakakalimutan niyang nababayaran siya.

"Do I look like I'm okay? Stupido ka ba?" tinanggal ko iyong kamay niya sa akin bago sumandal sa mesa. I took a deep breathe before I decided to snake my hands on his hand.

I pointed the way out. I don't want to go home. "Bring me somewhere else. Ayoko pang umuwi." I told him and started walking. I am such a witty kid. Kung hindi ako kumawit sa kanya baka mukha na akong sadako rito sa sahig. Good thing the resto isn't that polluted with human beings yet. I'm glad that we were able to pass through them in a couple of minutes.

"Bring me somewhere my brother can't find me." I added. Pagewang-gewang akong naglakad katabi niya.

"Bahay ko?" he answered, questioning me.

My palm flew on his cheek again.

"Are you kidding me?" I'm sure my eyes would look deadly especially that I am bit drunk, yet I don't care. Let this man be scared of me and learn his place even the words he should throw me.

"Goodness! Your brother knows the whole region. He always roams around the area. It's impossible for him not to know where we are." He answered.

I burst out laughing.

"What the hell?" I keep laughing while stopping my tummy from bursting.

Mukha na akong tanga nakaupo sa gitna at tumatawa. "Gosh! You're funny!" I said, can't stop myself from laughing.

Ganyan ba talaga siya? Magi-English pag laging nasasampal? Should I do it often? But he's scaring me yet making me laugh.

"Nasampal mo na nga ako tapus pagtatawanan mo pa ako." Galit na sabi niya.

Tumayo ako. I pointed him while I can't get off my smile.

"Hey! Fix your words. That's not the proper way to answer someone who's paying you." I smirked and walked again.
