-Controlling Thoughts-

Start from the beginning

We walked into the door and saw two armored monsters. "You get the one on the left, me on the right?" Link asked and I shook my head. "Nope, because I'm always right." I leaned towards the right one and accidentally shoved it off the side and down into the crack. "Well," I said watching Link battle the other. "I did it!" I called as Link stabbed it through. "Yeah?" He asked as it dropped dead. "Yeah, it fell." He looked down and shrugged. "That's one way to kill it, I guess." I nodded and a door above us opened. Link grabbed my waist and claw shot us up there. He opened it and found another claw shot. "Woah! Now you have a pair!" I said and grabbed it. As soon as my fingers made contact my pendant began to burn.

I hissed and reared back, grabbing ahold of the emerald and onyx pendant. "Ow! Fuck!" I hissed as it began to burn my hands. "(Y/n), what's wrong?" Link asked and reached out to me. "My pendant! It's—fuck!—burning!" I dropped it and waved my hands around, something was forming on them. I closed my hand around two green claw shots. I stood in astonishment as they immediately began to cool down. Link reached out and touched them in awe.

"Wow." He whispered and looked at me. "Your pendant. It must've sensed danger without them." I nodded holding the two with wide eyes. "Yeah." I said and squeezed them once. They retracted into the pendant, like how Midna moves things. I blinked and opened my hands, wishing for the clawshots. They formed into my hands swiftly, I grinned at Link. "Now I can move with them myself." I said and aimed towards the roof. I latched onto a target and climbed out of the room, Link following. This was going to be awesome.

Link hung on the chandelier in the main room as I watched the fan begin to blow. I immediately ran to the door and saw the turrets turning. I took out my bow and shot down the smaller dragons flying about. Link, on the other hand, was making his way across. I soon followed after him, silent as we went. Neither of us dared to speak in case of our focus breaking. As soon as we got to the other side, Link opened the door for me. "Whatever happens babe, I'll still love you if a dragon burns your face off." I blinked.

"Charming." I said before entering. Inside were two armored lizards. I immediately went to work, pulling it to me and stabbing through. Link did the same. We both climbed the spiral tower and got to the top slowly, because I kept missing my shot while Link stood from above and laughed at me. I scrabbled onto the ledge where he was, panting for air. "I'm gonna...push you all the way... down." I hissed standing and grabbing a drink of water before we walked out. "It's getting hard to breathe." Link observed and I nodded. "We are really high up. Low air quality right now." Link hummed and walked through the next door.

We quickly ran towards the bridge and found it broken both ways. I backed up and smirked, pulling out my clawshots. "Found a way up." I said and latched onto vines, pulling myself up. Link followed suit, climbing up as the wind began to whip around us. I looked around, walking into the grassy area and giant pillars reaching sky high. The sound of flapping wings alerted me. I stepped back as a giant dragon hovered above me, staring me down. '(Y/n),' I heard and looked at Link who glared at the dragon, time seemed to stand still. 'Please, be careful. I can only hold back for so long. I will take control if things get out of hand. Kill it quick.'

I blinked as everything began to speed up, the dragon dove at Link. He rolled away and looked up. "Climb!" He yelled and pulled out his clawshots. Mine formed in hand as I reached out and aimed. I was pulled to a pillar, opposite of Link. We both began to weave back and forth until we were on top. "Link!" I called, the blonde looked over at me. "You see the tail? Hook onto it and weigh him down, it'll shatter his armor." I spoke, but it wasn't my own thoughts. Link nodded and quickly shot himself towards the dragon, doing as I said.

The dragon hit the ground, the armor coming off. The dragon took off again and only focused on Link. I chose that moment to quickly latch onto the dragon and drag it down. I scrambled to get away as the dragon got up and snarled at me. It came after me, it's jaws snapping. I tripped and pushed myself against the pillar, closing my eyes and turning away awaiting the grisly end. The dragon gave a pained roar and snapped away, it's eyes locking on Link as rain began to pour. The skies darkened and lightning flashed, followed by thunder. Peahats came from the ground and formed a circle, Link immediately grabbing onto one. I began the climb as the dragon began to breathe fire, attempting to cook my boyfriend.

I aimed my clawshots at its back, attempting to hit the target. It latched on and I was thrown into its back. In a panic, I took out my sword, stabbing through. The dragon gave a roar, climbing higher and higher as I held on. Finally, I let go and plummeted to the ground as the dragon burst into darkness. 'I shall take control now.' My body began to move on its own. I had my clawshots out and grabbed onto one of the pillars. Instead of hitting the ground I swung gracefully down, tumbling into the grass.

My clawshots were put away, and I saw bloodied scratches on my body. I could see what was happening, I just couldn't do anything. It was like watching a movie on my life, just there. My hands opened and a soft blue light came from my palms. As they were swept over my wounds, they began to vanish. 'You have no memory of the power you once had. A sad feat, but it's alright. I shall help you now.' Link came running over to me as I healed the last of my wounds. "Are you okay? I saw you falling and," my head whipped up to scan him over.

"I am feeling perfectly fine. Thank you, love. I merely forgot what was happening for a second, but I managed to patch myself up. Are you okay?" Link looked taken aback before smiling. "Yeah, I'm fine. You were amazing up there. I can't believe you jumped on the dragons back and just..." He mimed a stab as my sword dropped beside us. "Yes, that is how you would kill something." I said, walking to my sword and sheathing it. Link grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. He cupped my face in his hand, I prepared mentally for a kiss before feeling myself push him back. "Link, dear, please. Let us get the mirror shard and leave." Link looked a bit offended. "Oh, okay."

'That's all I needed to do.' My body was released and I took a deep breath. "When we're safely on the ground, we can have a kiss. You know how I hate heights. I almost just died, please?" Link then smiled and nodded. "Oh, yeah. I forgot. Sometimes your awesomeness just makes me think you're invincible to any fear." Midna smiled and leaped out to grab the mirror shard. "It's... it's the last one!" She said excitedly, her face turning into a determined smile.

"Link, (Y/n), you remember the sages words don't you?" She asked looking to us. "Only the true ruler of the Twili can destroy the mirror of Twilight. Zant could only break the mirror into shards... he couldn't utterly shatter it. That's proof of his false kingship. After all, a fake is a fake and no matter how you dress it up the real one always wins." I nodded and looked to Link. "Well, time to go into the Twilight Realm for real." Link nodded and looks at Midna.

The two shared a conversation with their eyes that I was curious about.
