I saw you making your way through the fields,
Your skin glowed more than the sunlight,
Your smile so enticing to watch,
Your laugh I would never get tired to hear.
Every night you came into my dreams,
And I wished it was real.
Dreams of you became often, until it was a routine that I would never get sick of.
It was so frustrating to a god who always gets what he wants.
Until one day I couldn't take it anymore.
I waited for you in the fields again,
But this time, I didn't watch from afar,
Instead I swooped you into my arms and it felt like my arms were made to embrace you despite of it's scars and coldness.
I wanted to ask you if you also felt the warm gush of electricity slowly creeping in my soul.
You were surprised, no doubt.
It made me worry, but still, I stood my ground.
Your eyes met mine's,
It seemed as though time had stopped.
I whispered your name like I always did,
everyday,
everytime,
every moment.
And I grew scared of the innocence beneath those pale orbs,
I grew scared of the fact that I may break your fragile anatomy if not careful.
I grew scared,
But despite of the uncertainty,
I fell in love even more.
"Persephone."
