Do you know what we do to ants?
We stomp on them. Ants can't conceive the immensity of this universe. Maybe they can understand structures or humans in their own trivial ways but they don't understand how humans can work together to achieve things. Now let's say we have an AI, this being is able to learn and reprogram it's own self.
The smarter a person is the faster it will find ways to improve itself, that's when exponential growth kicks in. This insane AI will keep getting better and better exponentially and will surpass us in seconds. It will be able to calculate every law of nature it will surpass us infinitely. Then it will look down on us as if we were ants and will stomp on us if it wants to, it all comes down to luck. We are the ants.
