After returning to my house, I took her leash off and laid it on a table. Connor was already waiting outside for me.

I closed and locked my front door behind me, and got into my car. Connor was sitting in the passenger seat, looking a bit antsy.

"Don't worry, we're not gonna be late" my attempt at reassuring him seemed to work as he nodded at me.

I started the car and drove towards the police station. The radio was playing some music and I couldn't help but sing along.

"You should sing more often. You're really good" I couldn't help but blush as Connor completed me.

I pulled into the parking lot of the police department with a few minutes to spare before we were officially late.

The workday was extremely boring and uneventful. Hank, Connor and I spent the whole day trying to figure out why so many androids are deviating and if we could get any new clues for our investigation. In the end, we found no new clues and basically wasted our entire day.

As I sighed for the hundredth time that day, I decided it was time to head home.

"Ready to go, Connor?" I questioned and he nodded. He stood up and fixed his tie as we walked towards the exit.

I decided to let Connor drive. I hopped into the passenger seat and let out yet another sigh as I closed my eyes.

"All that sighing can't be good for you," Connor said as he closed the car door.

"I'm just stressed over today, I guess. We found absolutely no new clues. We're basically still on square one for this investigation."

"We just need to search harder. There has to be something that's linking all these deviant cases together, we just aren't seeing it yet"

"I'm sure you're right. It's just hard not to worry about it. I mean, this is our jobs that we're talking about. If we can't find any evidence soon I'm scared we'll get fired" Connor shook his head slightly.

"Stop worrying about it so much. Everything will be alright" he gave me a small smile.

Soon after, we pulled up to the house. The sun was slowly setting and the sky was that lovely blue-orange colour.

"I'm gonna take Hazel for another walk" I watched as (y/n) grabbed the leash.

"Alright, Be careful" she nodded and stepped outside, closing the door behind her.

I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. The news was on and they were talking about the deviants.

What (y/n) had said earlier had upset me a bit. I knew what would happen if we were fired from this investigation. I didn't want to be sent back to CyberLife to be destroyed, I know can't let them destroy me. I can understand that it would affect (y/n) if I was sent away to be destroyed.

I don't ever want to be separated from her. Not after what happened yesterday. I want to be with her forever.

I know I shouldn't have these feelings, but I can't help it. I know Amanda's not going to be happy with me, but I can't please everyone. I'd prefer making (y/n) happy rather than Amanda any day.

My train of thought was broken as (y/n) walked through the door. I glanced at a clock and noticed a half hour had passed.

"Hank called me a few minutes ago asking if I could go pick him up from a bar. Care to join?" I took Hazel's leash off and turned to Connor.

"Yes, I'll come with you" I nodded and grabbed my car keys.

I hopped into the car and started driving towards Jimmy's Bar. I'm hoping that Hank stays in one place and doesn't go to another bar. I parked along the sidewalk.
