Chapter 7

Lana

I began to slowly wake up and as I stretched I felt so comfortable. It felt as if I had not slept properly in so long. Waking up I turned to the side to see the spot next to me was empty. I groaned as I got out of bed and began to undress from my nightwear.

The door opened and I looked to see Matt wearing his suit ready to go.

"The day came too soon" I whined

I walked to stand in front of him and kissed him gently. We had gotten used to having him around again and I knew Damon would be sad just as I was that he was leaving.

He kissed my forehead once we pulled away. "I'll be back soon okay? I just have to handle this mess that was made" he says sitting on the bed

I quickly changed clothes and sat beside him. It had been a couple of days since he said he was leaving and I hated it.

He held onto my hand and placed a gentle kiss on the top of my hand. "Damon is up and breakfast is ready" he says smiling "we still need to drop him off at school" he says getting up and walking off

I stared at the door and finished getting ready and walked out. Damon sat on the table drinking juice as Matt added another full plate on the table.

"Morning bud" I say kissing the top of Damon's head

"Morning" He says after swallowing his food

"We have a big day ahead of us" Matt says kissing my cheek "Damon has school in a bit then after he has the soccer game. I moved everything around so I could make it"

"So you're leaving after the game?" Damon asks

"Yes" Matt says "we can go get food after the game and then I'll have to leave"

"As long as we're together" Damon says looking at me for a small time then turning to Matt "that's all that matters"

"Let's eat up then. We're going to need the energy. I have to go to the bar finish up some paperwork see if I can talk to the manager next door" I say cutting my pancakes

Once we finished eating we were all ready to go. The great things about the apartment Bette got us was that it was close to everything from Damon's school to the park he was having his game and to a café we've been going to a lot recently.

All three of us walked Damon to school. We laughed until we finally got to the school.

"Alright bud we will pick you up after then head to the park" Matt says hugging Damon

"See you later" Damon yells waving as he walks up the stairs and joining his friends

"Let's go" Matt says putting his arm around me

"I have to go to the bar but I'll be back home as soon as I can" I say leaning into him

"I want to have you just a little longer before I leave" Matt says stopping and looking at me "I love you" He says kissing my forehead
