"Hey, (Y\N)" George blurted out. "Why didn't Paul come play today?"
"Paulie got in trouble." I explained. Paul is my older brother by about eighteen months, and we got along pretty well. I really liked his friend George though. Paul had just turned six, making me and Geo both five.
He shrugged and we continued to run about like fools.
The hardest year of primary school for me had to be the last. Paul and George had left me for the middle grades. I longed for the next year, so we could go to the same school again.
George turned twelve today. His father said he was too old to be friends with girls now. I ran out of his party, crying until I found myself in the hill we had all played on as little ones.
Something rustled in the bushes. "Hello?" I called out, voice rough and cracking.
"Hey, (Y\N). Are you alright?" Paul and George inquired, sitting on either side of me.
"Yeah, I guess so," I whispered. Paul rubbed my shoulder, in a motherly way. George laid his head on my shoulder.
"You shouldn't pay mind to what me Sad said at the party. He was jus' teasin' us." Geo whispered. We sat there until dark, and then went home. When we got home, Mum and Dad had cocoa in mugs for us. The day had been a cold one, and we were outside for a bit.
"(Y\N), Mr.Harrison dropped in and told me about what happened. He said that he was just messing with you," Dad explained. I shrugged, my messy brown hair flopped over my hazel eyes.
I retreated to my bedroom and drifted off to sleep.
Paul and I sat on a lumpy sofa in the funeral home, holding each other and crying. Mum had been ill for a while, and we had known it was coming, but it hasn't prepared us. I was almost thirteen and Paul was fourteen. I was a January baby, born on the seventh(In place of Michael).
George turned up and hugged each of us and apologized for our losses.
"An apology won't bring her back, George!" I snapped, sprinting away.
George's pov
The biggest dance of the year was coming up, and I didn't have a date. Paul had a large crowd of birds to choose from. With my luck, the bird I wanted had already been asked.
I was going to ask (Y\N), I know a few guys who fancy her, but I'll be asking quite early, so who knows.
I purchased a bouquet of roses and a note for her locker. Paul had given me the combination since I was too fearful of messing up in person. I snuck the roses into her locker and left.
"George, you have a little lady to see you!" Mum called from downstairs, as I stumbled down. (Y/N) had shown up at my door fairly late at night, holding a box of chocolates.
"Yes, I'll go with you, you silly boy," She laughed. I started uncontrollably bouncing around and she continued to present me with Jelly Babies and chocolates.
(School dance)
I knocked on the McCartney's door and stood for a few minuets before Paul answered, wearing his usual teddy boy attire, not bothering with a suit, unlike I had. I wore a grey suit with tight dress shoes.
(Y/N) jumped down the stairs in a (Favorite color) dress and Converse. She hugged me as we loaded the car to go retrieve Paul's date(s). One of (Y/N)'s friends, Sarah. Sarah had blonde hair and blue eyes, and wore a red ensemble.
A while later we arrived at the school and hopped out of the car quickly, rushing to the dance floor. We danced until we tired ourselves out, then headed for the nearby store to pick up sandwiches.
As we ate our sammies, (Y/N) got up and started, "I had best head..."
I cut her off with a quick kiss and inquired,"(Y/N), would you do me the honor of being me girl?"
She nodded and squealed, "Of course, Georgie!"
(Years later)
Your point of view
I held our little boy, Dhani, in our garden while George played the sitar. He loved the both of you dearly and would do anything for you, even cancelling tours(to be there for Dhani's important milestones). George Harrison was your everything and you loved him with all your heart.
