Chapter 12

"UM BROOKE?" I heard Connor as I swiftly walked in the opposite direction.

"Yes?" I asked, not stopping, just turning my head back to see his face. He looked so stunned and confused.

"You just agreed to a date with some guy."

"He's not just some guy, he bought me popcorn." I smirked and turned around again. I was walking in the direction back to my house. "Plus, it's not as if you asked me out or anything."

"But I thought."

"Well you thought wrong, we aren't dating untill you properly ask me." I was a house down from home now.

"Oh Brooke come on." He kissed my cheek and then tried to go for my lips. I pulled away.

"Nuh uh." I waved my finger back in forth. I walked up the steps to my front door. "Go home." I smiled.

He waved goodbye and turned around walking. His hands were in his pockets, hair in a perfect mess.

I turned towards the door a put my key in. When I walked in I looked at the clock above the tv, 5:00 PM. DId all that time really pass since this morning? Damn it went by so fast. I headed up the stairs to get to my bedroom. As I was passing Blake's room I heard him yelling at someone on the phone. I put my ear up to his door. I couldn't hear much but of what I did hear, it was definettely Cameron.

"Cameron I specifically asked you to watch her and make sure she DOESN'T go with him. You really needed to cheat again? I know it's fake, yes, but she doesn't know that. I don't want her with him."

I pulled away. I coudn't deal with anymore shit today or I'll literally explode. I walked into my room and closed the door. I changed into my favorite sweats and my volleyball hoodie and layed down under the covers on my bed. I put my headphones in and fell asleep listening to Hunter Hayes.
