"Brooke? What's going on, are you ok?" Connor lifted my chin and wiped away my tears. As he looked behind me, I could see the anger in his eyes. He saw Cameron.

Cameron stopped a few feet behind me and began to back up even more after he saw Connor.

"Brooke, let's go." Connor put his arm around me and we began walking away. Cameron suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me out of Connors embrace, towards him.

"You don't control her! Who the hell do you think you are?"

"Cameron please don't."

"Brooke you don't know what he's capable of."

I looked up at Connor. "What is he talking about?"

"It's nothing. Let's go." I could hear the tension in his voice.

The only reason I went along with him was because, well for one I was being pulled, and plus I especially did not want to stay with Cameron. Not now at least or else I would slap him and Jennifer.

Connor practically dragged me to a nearby bench.

"What the hell was that about?"

"I don't know what you mean."

"Yes you do. The fears in his eyes when he saw you trying to take me with you."

"Try? I think i succeded." He smirked, obviously trying to distract me from what had just happened. He wasn't succeeding this time.

"What did he mean when he said I don't know your'e capable of?"

"That never happened are you feeling okay?" He brought his wrist up to my forehead as if checking if I had a fever. I grabbed his wrist and pulled it back down.

"Connor!"

"Brooke!" He playfully yelled back, mocking my tone. He was smiling that ignorant, addicting smile. "Can we just drop it?" He took my hands in his.

"No."

He sighed. He probably thought I was going to give in. Nope, not this time. I'm proud of myself actually.

"You really want to know?

"Obviously!"

"You really really want to know?" He was smirking again. I knew what he was doing.

"If I want to know even more, I'm going to have to slap the answers out of you."

"Who says that would be a bad thing?" Ugh boys.

I shoved his shouder and he pretended to be hurt holding it, making puppy dog eyes. "You punch like a girl."

"If you haven't noticed," I notioned to my body, " I am one dumbass. Now spill."

"Baby I-"

"Don't baby me."

"Let's just drop it. That little bitch is probably lying." The anger in his voice was thick and growing.

"Probably?"

"You know what I mean."

"No, I don't. As a matter of fact I'm extremely confused."

The sun was just starting to set. You know, when you can still see the sun setting, yet it's on the tip of the surface. I always say that that's the sun kissing the ground.  It looked so beautiful, like nothing bad could happen at this moment.

Ring....ring....

I took my phone out of my pocket and turned on my screen to see who was calling. It was a number I didn't recognize. I pressed answer and put my pointer finger up at him to say, one minute.

"Hello?"

"Hi, I don't know if you remember me. It took me so long to grow a pair and actually call you."

"Um, I'm sorry who is this?" I could see Connor out of the corner of my eye moving closer towards me to hear the other end of the call.

"Michael. From the movies. I bought you popcorn, you wrote your number on my hand."

By this point I could feel Connor breathing down my neck.

"Michael?"Connor whispered.

"Uh, um yea thanks again. What's up?" I shrugged to Connor. What else was I suppossed to do?

"I was wondering if I could treat you to lunch tomorrow?"

I looked up at Connor. If he wasn't going to give me any answers I'd make him one way or another.

"Yea sure, that'd be perfect. I'll see you there at one? Okay. Bye"
