"I bet he'll love that," Gary told her as she nodded her head. They couldn't help but admire her for how much work she'd done. Get a career and raise her son in such a well-mannered boy. he was bright and had been around the world already it seemed. He was more aware of things that most children would be and the curiosity she nurtured was something which missed in a lot of children.
"I want to nurture the curious mind he had from me. It's amazing that he gets to see these things. he knows where they come from and he gets to see the world in the meantime." she explained and no one could argue with that.

Ten minutes later, an hour before the show started Glen told them he'd meet up with them afterwards, but that he needed to get ready. Kate had left her son for a moment with his newfound grandparents as she'd gone to change in something more comfortable. Dressed in a sweater and Jeans she'd returned to them to find Arthur talking animatedly to Glen's dad. So much so it brought a smile to her face to see that he'd gone back to his usual self as always. His enthusiastic chatterbox that was her son, sometimes it was hard to make him shut up even for five minutes.
"He seems like a great kid, you did a great job with him." A voice to her left said and she was surprised that someone had been able to sneak up on her like that. "I did as well as anyone would have done," Kate told her with a small shake of her head and shrug of her shoulders.
"Still it musn't have been easy, had Glen known he would have been there from the start." Aileen his mum said, needing to make it clear to the young woman, her son was still infatuated about that her son wasn't the person to turn his back on family or his child. She had no idea what they were or where they were in their relationship if she'd forgiven him or not. But she was willing to give small nudges if it meant that her son finally found happiness with the woman he so obviously loved it was clear to everyone. Kate, on the other hand, was a bit more guarded. Aileen figured it had something to do with the fact that she was probably half a royal at this point. That she'd learned to keep her expressions hidden and to always be proper, something she'd noticed in the young woman's stance.
Just having heard at the phone how close they'd really had been with them for a year, it wasn't a surprise either. She was grateful that she'd had a support system there, even if she couldn't even begin to wrap her mind around that.
"I know that now." Kate sighed as she turned to look at her son, his infectious laughter going around the room as Kate let out a chuckle of her own.
"It hasn't been easy though," Kate admitted, turning to look at Glen's mum. Figuring now that she was a mum herself, she understood what it was like to worry about your son and to her, she already knew, no matter what age Arthur would be, he would always be her little boy. Speaking from mother to mother, she figured she better be honest with her, Aileen would probably be a fixed fixture in Arthur's life from now on out as well.
"What hasn't been easy?" Aileen asked her with a small tilt of her head as she followed Aileen to sit somewhat to the side. "To just forget everything from the last 5 years you know, I remember when I was pregnant, I wished and imagined so many times that Glen would be there," Kate admitted with a bothered sigh as she twirled the cup of tea in front of her. She remembered the time when she found out she was pregnant very clearly, it hadn't been as fun as it should have been.
Sitting on the ground of her new apartment in London Kate couldn't stop vomiting. God, she'd only been in London for her second week, had just started to work with her mentor she'd had during her stint here during her studies. Edward had decided to take her under his wing after school and teach her all he knew. She loved working at the museum, she loved living in London, something she'd always dreamt of. And now here she was, living her dream. Well, she could do without the constant nausea which had started the day before yesterday, even smells could make her go run for the closest bin like yesterday at the lab.
