"Hey Pha...wait! Phana..."

Beam shouted as he ran after the tall boy whose one stride equals two of his. The lanky boy finally stopped and turned questionably towards him. Beam paused and put his hands on his knees panting, "man, that was quite a run. You are very fast, why don't you join the sports team?"

Phana furrowed his brows and regarded his friend silently. Beam was the only one who was not afraid of his brooding and moody presence. In fact, he was the only one who dared to approach him and befriended him despite the death glares he kept throwing at everyone. Realising that Beam was waiting for an answer, he shrugged and replied coolly, "I don't have time for such useless things. Sports will only distract me and will take a lot of my time. I prefer to use my time wisely, like studying business and management."

Beam straightened himself and shook his head, his friend was again talking like a 30 years old instead like the mere 15 years old they were. He grinned and approached him slowly, "I wanted to ask you about our joint assignment? When are we going to do it."

Pha raised an eyebrow and looked at his car behind him impatiently. Beam quickly gushed, "ohh I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you might be in a hurry. It's just that I don't have your phone number so I had no option but to ask you directly."

His friend waved a hand dismissly, "it's ok." He paused for a few seconds thinking then indicated towards his car, "come with me. We can do it at my house."

Beam looked taken aback, he stared disbelievingly at him and then at his car with the driver waiting inside, "wh..what! You want me to come with you to your house!" He couldn't believe it, Phana wasn't someone who would give away his phone number, much less invite someone to his house. He was the most secretive and private person he has ever met till now.

"Yes I'm inviting you to my house for the assignment. Now get in."

Beam couldn't hide his pleased smiled, he gleefully entered the luxurious car under the envious and shocked stares of the other students. His gasps of wonder was drowned by Pha entering the car beside him and slamming the door hard. He couldn't held glancing around everywhere, this car was beyond his imagination of what was luxurious. Pha was really lucky indeed, as for him, he wasn't poor but his family came from the middle class background. However, he wasn't envious because he was very happy within his small, modest but loving family.

They rode in silence for about 40 minutes. Beam watched eagerly as the car left the normal infrastructure behind and entered into an expensive neighborhood. His stares turned to gasps as the car stopped in front of a huge, eye-catching mansion. He got out of the car in a dream like state, he only ever saw this kind of place in movies. No wonder Pha was so unapproachable, he was almost like royalty!

"Come on." Pha muttered as he passed him. Beam quickly gathered himself as he scurried behind Pha. He kept glancing right and left as he entered. However, he was quickly becoming intimidate the more he entered deep inside and finally realised how different he actually was from his friend.

"My room is upstairs," Pha muttered as they started towards the stairs. Beam spotted the occasional staffs and threw each of them a smile of greeting, as for Pha, he didn't bothered. He ignored them all and continued forward straight. Suddenly his friend stopped abruptly and Beam smashed loud onto his broad back.

Groaning he stepped back and got out a quick apology, "I...I'm sorry."

"No it's ok, it's me who stopped. I just remembered.... it's polite to offer something to guests so what would you like to drink?"

The shorter boy turned red and waved his hands embarrassing, "ohh no it's ok. I'm fine thank you."

"How about some coffee and biscuits?" Pha continued as if he didn't heard him and turned towards one of his staffs, "please bring him coffee and biscuits."

The worker quickly nodded and moved towards the kitchen efficiently. Beam glanced between the worker and Pha, "I...there is no need for her to bring it, I will just take a glass of juice. You go ahead and I will come after getting it."

Pha nodded and turned back to disappear along the endless corridor. Beam quickly descended the stairs hoping like hell that he doesn't get lost on his way back to his room. He quickly followed the worker to the kitchen and smiled charmingly at her, "I will just have a glass of juice please."

"We have tropical, apple, mango and orange juice. They are all organic, which one would you prefer?"

Beam blinked, he paused for a few seconds and opened his mouth to reply but someone beat him to it, "give him the tropical one, he looks like someone who loves tropical."

His mouth opened and closed like a fish, the voice that spoke was just behind him and made him shivered involuntary. It was incredibly masculine and rough. For some reason he liked the sound of it and wanted to hear more. He turned around slowly and came face to face with the most handsome boy he has ever seen. A rugged boy stood before him, he was wearing the same uniform like him but whereby Beam was wearing his impeccably even after school, the young man in front of him was a mess. His hair was all tangled up as if he run his fingers through it too many times, his shirt was wrinkled and not tucked inside, diamond earrings shone from his ears. He was also wearing rings and a very dark but expensive bracelet which went very well against his tanned skin.

Beam stood paralyzed, he couldn't stop staring at the young man in front of him. He didn't even understand what was happening to him, all he knew was that his heart was threatening to break out of his chest and he couldn't breathe. The tall boy scrutinized him from head to toe and a small grin broke out on his face. Beam nearly fainted at the sight, he was mistaken if he thought that the man in front of him couldn't have become more handsome. In fact, he was now deadly with his smile. How in the hell he never noticed him around school was a dilemma, but then he was obviously a senior so it may be because they have different schedules and different groups. Beam remained quiet, both terrified out of his mind and in awe of him.

"Come on, I'm not that frightening am I? So who are you? Are you by chance my younger brother's friend? If yes, then I'm proud of him. At least he's making friend." He nodded thoughtfully and continued, "that's a great progress for that rascal."

Beam was still speechless, he could only gazed at him with big, rounded eyes. His young heart was rendered unstable and he was too young, too naive to understand why. He blushed shyly under his curious gaze anr cleared his voice to try to speak but nothing came out except for a funny squeak. He felt himself turning a deep red from embarrassed at the sound, he just made himself appeared incapable in front of him. Just as he was wishing for the ground to open up and swallow him, he got save by a voice.

"Beam..."

Pha was standing at the entrance of the kitchen looking at them curiously. He stepped inside and addressed his friend, "I thought you got lost but you're still here talking to my brother." He turned to his brother and introduced him, "P'Forth, this is Baramee, my friend. I invited him over to work on our assignment."

So his name was Forth, Beam ran the name through his mind and tested it. He liked it, it suited him. He blushed a furious red again when Forth turned his attention towards him and extended his hand, "Welcome to our house Baramee, you're the first friend that my brother invited over so I'm counting on you to look after him alright?"

Beam quickly nodded and timidly shook back his hand. He almost moaned at the feel of his warm and strong hand but he held himself in check at the last minute. Pha looked at him quizzically then shook his head as if dismissing an idea from his mind, "come on, we don't want to finish too late."

Beam followed Pha meekly after his staff came back with a glass of cold juice and offered it to him, all the while he kept feeling the burning gaze of Forth on his back.

Little did he knew that this short encounter has greatly impacted his whole life from then on. He took Forth's words to heart and has really looked after his brother to the best of his abilities. Not to mention, tropical juice has since then became his favorite.

However, it was only later on that he was able to realise his young and innocent heart was no longer beating for him...
