Keep On Keeping On

Collapsing

Crashing to the ground in tears,

Sobbing the pain I've had for years,

Clutching and clawing at my heart,

Wishing to just tear it apart,

The pain unbearable,

Everything is terrible,

Left alone to cry out,

The pain is worse than gout,

Sobbing into the sodden floor,

Crying until my eyes are sore,

Hours later I awake from tortured sleep,

I wipe away my tears the pain cut so deep,

I muster my strength and try to act fine,

Smile a smile that is anything but genuine,
