Chapter 15

I jumped onto Sweet Pea's back he was working on a truck.

"Woah there." He said as I kissed his cheek.

"Sorry, but I have to tell you something that you might not like." I said.

"Okay." He wiped his hand on the rag before turning back to me.

"What is it?" He asked.

"My mom called and asked me to go stay with her for 2 weeks."

"And?" He asked.

"And I said yes, I'm leaving Monday." I said.

"Oh." He said sitting down as I touched his shoulder.

"Only for 2 weeks, not 2 years. I'll be back before you know it." I said.

"Okay... Why does she want you to stay with her anyways?"

"I don't know... But I have a feeling it has something to do with my powers." I told him.

"I'm going to miss you." He said pulling me into his

arms.

"It's only 2 weeks like I said before not 2 months... Now finish up. We have a movie to see in 5 hours." I said.

"Alright... Wear something pretty, We're going out to dinner after."

I nodded kissing his cheek before heading back to my car.

       Dad fixed my hair as I was reading a book, waiting for Sweet Pea.

"There you go sweet heart."

"Thanks daddy." I said.

After 5 years of marriage, it ended and dad had to take care of a boy and a girl so he had to get the hang of hair.

"Your boyfriend is here." Dad said with an eye roll.

"I'll be home by 11:30 daddy, to get some sleep before my flight." I kissed his cheek.

I grabbed my jacket and phone then headed outside.

"Hey beautiful." He said kissing my cheek.

"Hey... We should hurry." I said.

"Why?"

"He might be getting his shot gun."

"Shit!" Sweet Pea cursed before quickly pulling out of the driveway.

We got to the theater 30 minutes later.

After getting our tickets we went go the snack bar to see Cheryl and Toni.

"Hey girls." I said as Sweet Pea shoved his face with popcorn.

"Hey beautiful." Cheryl said kissing my cheek.

"Hey gorgeous." I said.

"Are you two, seeing the movie?" I asked known there was other movies out.

"Yup, we're sitting together. We could all probably sit together." Toni said as I smiled.

"Sure that'll be great. Right Sweet Pea?" I said gaining no reply.

I looked behind me to see him too busy playing a game on his phone to listen to what I just said.

I rolled my eyes grabbing his phone, shoving it in my purse.

"Hey! I almost killed the slug!"

"Awe too bad... Come on." I grabbed his ear.
