My three year old sister doesn't contribute to society. She's a drain on resources. She fills up landfills with diapers. She eats, sleeps, and watches TV all day. She doesn't work. Does that give me the right to kill her?
The unborn are part of their mother's bodies, and women have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies.

But the child relies on it's mother to survive!
I rely on my parents to survive, and I am nearly a legal adult. I don't have a car. I don't make money, so I can't buy my own food or clothes or anything else. My parents pay everything for me. Sure, I do chores, but they don't need me to do chores. My mom could probably clean the kitchen better than me anyway. I still need permission from adults to do many things. I am nothing but a drain on the world's resources.
So, my mom has the right to kill me for being inconvenient, right?
But people would only seek out illegal abortions! We need to keep safe abortion legal to protect lives.
Protect lives? There is no safe way to commit murder.
