I groaned as my phone's alarm went off "urrgh it's still dark" peeking through one eye, it's like I had only fallen asleep like 5 minutes ago; my fingers stumbled to hit snooze, pulling back the blue dotted blanket, trying to get back to the fairyland of dreams. Another familiar voice forced my dream to come to a halt "Majda, Majda, Wake up" the voice continued each time raising its voice "Majda you are going to be late" I forced my eyes  open to find my Mom standing at the door; I felt my mind kick start and I staggered to stand on my feet "I'm up mom" trying to sound convincing "I'm up", she gave me a sharp look "breakfast is ready, come downstairs" then she proceeded to pull the blanket; my feet staggered to carry me to the bathroom, my mouth still yawning, I stretched trying to chase the fatigue then I proceeded to comb my hair which was in an awful mess between that's no secret it's every girl trouble to keep her hair neat and untangled, now after fixing the hair problem I moved on to brush my teeth and made sure that I don't press too hard so they don't bleed, I could hear my Mom loud and clear beginning to lose her patience "Come on now" I ran in front of the closet removing my Pajamas and picking up the Beige blouse and brown pants and my casual grey flat shoes then I raced down stairs to meet Mom before she went ballistic.

- "Did you pick up the papers ?" she asked
- Yes It's all in the Bag

It almost looked as she didn't believe me so she picked up the bag and threw a look at the papers

- I told you it's all in there
- "Double checking never killed anybody," she replied advisingly "Now eat your meal before it gets cold"

No matter how much I tell her she always seems like she doesn't listen, I don't like having breakfast, we always argue that it's the important meal and that is vital to kick start ones day, but not for me, I knew I had to take a small bite otherwise she will begin with her never ending health speech.

-Mom, where's Dad? is it Okay if I take the car for the day, You know I won't be late.
-"You know how I feel when you're driving by yourself" said with a worrying voice.
-"It's Okay, she won't be late, plus I am not working today" my dad stormed in putting the keys on my end of the table "Morning sweetie"
-"Jamal you've got to be kidding right, you're spoiling her too much" Mom continued altogether looking at me and my dad both
-It's gonna be fine, Mom, It's not like I'm going anywhere other than school

Dad drew close to my ear enough for me to hear him say, "she always worries about you, Just drive safe and always check your left and right before making a turn"; I always knew that I could count on him, he always seemed to be the judge that ruled in my favor whenever Me and Mom would go on and on about the simple stuff. I grabbed the keys and Kissed my Mom on her cheek 'I will call you once I get there alright' this is the line that always got me out of trouble, just the act of calling her and her hearing my voice would convince her to let me go easily.

I got into the car and proceeded to adjust the seat and mirrors  to my position not forgetting to put my seat belt I started the car and took off the driveway; It took me around 24 minutes to get to the university and Immediately my eyes started scanning for a parking spot that wasn't too tight so I don't block anyone, I stopped the car and took my bag then headed to the front green gate where everybody was standing either meeting their friends from High-school or seeking somebody for directions to their chosen department. I stood contemplating the sign outside that had English department written over it until a soft gust of wind blew away the paper that had my info on it, I turned around trying to chase it and then a voice emerged out the crowded "who is Majda Nassir?" the voice continued "Majda Nassir?" yes that's me I replied and advanced toward the carrier of the paper.

- "I am Zineb Bya" the friendly voice said
-"And I am Majda, Majda Nassir, thank you and nice to meet you"
-"I figured, this sure belongs to you, and It's nice to meet you too Majda"
-"I have to go, it's time" looking at my watch the display says 8 o'clock
