Beginning: One Child Policy

My birth is a crime. My birth is a mistake. I was born as nothing. I have no freedom nor rights to do what I want. My existence is a mistake. For I am only the second child in the family.

The Royal family has finally approved the law of 'one child policy.' It is to make sure the country will remain unpopulated. Perhaps it requires for the mother to kill her second baby as long as it's inside her womb - whether she like it or not.

I survived from the abortion medicine my mother took once she found out she was pregnant for my life. On bad's luck, I was still alive. Finally of my mother's womb but was hidden from the world.

I was never treated good since I was a child. Telling me over and over that I am the misfortune in the family. Several nights they're attempting to kill me. Several nights I escaped without knowing how.

Day and night, my eyes are swollen. Marks from my tears as a sign that I cry made me look more miserable and miserable. Torturing me everyday and night with emotional pain.

It took much worse when my big sister tried to poison me. But again, with the heaven' help, I only became sick for days.

One night, when my parents can no longer wait for me to vanish from the family, I heard my parents planning to kill me. I quickly found out that there will be no escape with their plans. So as early as possible, I ran away without bringing anything. Loitering around empty-handed. For me, it was better this way than to live in fear. No one knows that I am part of the Yi family.
