Let It Fall Part 1 (Rewritten Version)

Chapter 1: Wellcome to Atlas

"Winter-"

Winter was not smiling.

"Not now sister. We will discus this horrid act of thievery later."

Said Winter firmly.

Weiss felt her smile fade and she looked at her heeled shoes. Winter then turned around to face her sister's teammates.

"Now which one of you dragged my sister into your act of thievery?!"

Shouted Winter.

Winter then turned her attention to Qrow.

"It was you wasn't it?! I should've known! You've been nothing but trouble since-"

"Officer Schnee you will take the lamp Ms. Rose is holding to my office."

Said Ironwood.

"But sir-"

Ironwood gave her a look. Winter sighed but obeyed and walked over to collect the relic from Ruby.

"Wait. Can't I hold onto it?"

Ruby asked while holding the lamp close to her chest.

"It is best if I hold onto it. I have a safe place for it in my study."

Said Ironwood.

Ironwood seemed a little paranoid about something

"Sir-"

Ruby was cut off when Winter took the lamp from her and started taking it to Ironwood's study. Ruby looked at Qrow as if asking what to do.

"Jimmy c'mon. You can trust these kids."

Qrow argued.

"You can't trust anyone these days. Especially with-"

"Salem! Yeah Jimmy we know! They know!"

"Wait?! You told them?! Qrow-"

"These aren't ordinary kids! They have shown exceptional skills and have proven to be very trustworthy."

Ironwood glared at Qrow.

"And stealing one of my ships exhibits  trustworthy behavior?"

Ironwood argued.

"You didn't give us a choice!"

Ruby joined in.

"Yeah Jimmy!!! My niece has a point! How the hell were we supposed to get the lamp here?! You shut down all the borders and cut off communication with everyone! How else were we supposed to get back to you?!"

Qrow argued.

"You could've waited for the letter to get here-"

"There was no guarantee that the letter would even get to you and we don't have the luxury to wait James!!!! She's planning her next attack right now as we speak and we have no idea when she'll make her next move!!!! For all we know Atlas could be next!"

Qrow shouted angrily.

"Atlas is strong! In fact it's one of the safest places in the world-"

"You shouldn't say that! We thought beacon was strong but look what happened! You were there! You saw all the Grimm she's created! She's gotten stronger James! She's made her move and she almost took down Mistral too so don't you dare say that Atlas won't be next!"

Said Qrow angrily.

"Even if she tries she'll fail! We are the most technologically advanced kingdom and have the largest army in the world! It'll take a lot for her to take Atlas down! I took extreme measures to ensure the safely of my people-"
