Chapter 2: Trouble

Your P.O.V.

It has been 3 years since you discovered your powers. You trained a lot and now you have control over them.

Today your family is moving to New York because your little sister's dad has cancer and he needs treatment.
Yes, it's not your dad. The thing is you don't know who your father is. First when you found out about it you were shocked but got used to it with Tate.

So here you were standing in the airport, waiting for the plane.

Suddenly you smell like something is burning. 'Strange' you thought. There was no alarm. You told your family that you need to go to the bathroom and started heading towards the smell. Taking turn you saw a group of old people surrounded with fire. Your eyes grew wide. Where the hell are firefighters? Then you decided to help them. Using your powers you tried to stop fire but there was no use. You then started lifting people with your ability, and one by one they were safe and away from fire.

All of them started to thank you expect one old man. He starred at you angrily.

"MUTANT!" Man screamed.

Suddenly a group of guards came to you out of nowhere. They grabbed you by you arms and dragged you into a room. Room had few chairs and a table in it. Guards threw you on the chair in the middle and cuffed your arms and legs.

"What the hell?"

"Let me go!"

Guards showed you no emotions and just walked out. You were confused and scared. Like you saved those people and guards came and threw you here. Why they did that? You didn't do anything wrong. You thought that after what happened in Cairo people changed. Cause there were mutants who saved us from Apocalypse. Not humans but mutants! They risked their lives to save everybody. Why did guards put you here? Cause you did something wrong? Cause you used your ability to save lives? After a few minutes your worried family came in.

"What happened?" Your mum asked.

"I ..." You were interrupted by a man who walked into the room.

Your parents looked worried and scared. Tate looked worried and angry, like he could punch someone. Your little sister looked like she is about to cry.

"Mr. and Mrs. Y/l/n ..." Man started " My name is William Stryker.

"Why is my sister in here?" Tate practically shouted at Stryker.

"Tate." Your mother whispered to Tate saying him to calm down.

"I'm about to answer this question."

"Then answer!" Tate told Stryker angrily.

"Mr. and Mrs. Y/l/n, your daughter used her ability on public putting everyone in danger."

"But she saved those people while your guards were sitting and doing nothing!" Now it was your father's turn to get angry.

"Mr. Y/l/n, your daughter broke a law that is keeping humans save from mutants. I'm afraid that I need to take her away to one of our mutant centers for some time."

"No! You have no rights to take her away from us!" Your mother shouted as tears were forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, but we have to. I'm afraid that there is nothing you can do."

You just sat there and listened. It was not fair. You didn't do anything wrong. If not you they could have died. You didn't wanted to go anywhere with that man. He looked not trustworthy. By that moment Tate was squeezing your arm really tightly. You could tell that he was scared. Of course he would. You grew up together and are so close. Tears of fear were sliding down your face. Then a plan came into your mind. It might not work but you had to try. There was nothing to lose any more.

Suddenly the door flew open and two guards came in. They started to uncuff you and you knew that this was the moment. With no hesitation you using your ability you threw guards to the wall, stood up and run out.

"RUN!" Tate screamed.

"DON'T LET HER GET AWAY!" That was the last thing you heared Stryker say.

There were some more guards, but you threw them away too. Airport was really crowded and it made everything harder. Since you couldn't go to the main exit, and walls were made out of glass using your ability you broke it and ran out. There was huge parking full with cars. One of them almost ran you off. Normally you would get really tried of the run,nbut not now. You needed to hide somewhere. After some time you came out with a perfect place: the forest. There are no cameras and you can hide on top of a tree. Finally after hour or so you reached the forest. Then when you were save you started to think about your family. Stryker could put them in prison or something. Getting back to the reality you saw a perfect tree for you to hide. Using your powers you climbed on the tree you sat down to relax a little bit. You felt your phone in your pocket and hurried to turn it off. Who knows, they could find you with GPS or something. After you relaxed a little you realised what have you done. You freaking ran away from ton of guards. Alone. That's crazy! You were like superhero from those movies you watched when you were little kid. Looking up you saw that sky is all ready dark. It should be around midnight. That's when you noticed that your legs are killing you. You ran for too long. Plan you thought wouldn't work succeeded and now you needed to rest.
