he had been in her life. but now,
as she looked at him lying there,
she wanted to hear his voice.

she cups his cheek with her hand,
and tears start slipping from her
eyes. she could feel herself let herself
go as she awaits his return.

take; waiting for him to wake up.
she wishes that he was here to celebrate her twenty-first birthday too.

yet she didn't feel like celebrating it
without him. she had decided to
postpone it until he returns but she doesn't know for how long.
