Greetings everyone, I just want to thank you for looking into my story. This is my first ever fanfiction that I ever made so I hope it came out to your liking. Man I am nervous. Also I hand drew the cover myself in crayon so it'd look as if a young Frisk drew it themselves.
Anyways I just want you to know that Frisk will be a boy and Chara will be a girl for this story. Oh also MK (Monster Kid), I don't think they were ever referred to as a boy or girl in game but I'm going for boy. (Even though MK reminds me of a girl from a cartoon.)
I will be adding monsters from Undertale's hardmode to the ruins along with their normal counterparts in my story.
A bit of a small warning for all of you for chapter one. There will be a small part involving child birth. It won't go too far into detail and will have as small a scene as I can give it but it is part of the story's plot.
Something to note is in this story's reality Toriel still goes by Toriel Dreemurr. Keeping her last name unlike in canon. She still loves Asgore as much as he does her but she is still angry at him going down the path he chose in his anger. Also Toriel is still called queen by monsters but feels that she no longer deserves that title and likes "Caretaker of the Ruins" as a role/title more.
The monsters of the ruins are friendly to humans and won't attack unlike the others out in the rest of the Underground.
Another thing I want to say is this is all being done on my phone but I will read and check for typos and mistakes multiple times before posting. I want to make this as good as I can. If you want, please leave comments to let me know what you think and if you have more experience with writing then any advice that could help me improve would be appreciated.
I will try to update the story with a new chapter at least once a week if I can unless life gets in the way. That's the best I can promise to do.
My sources of inspiration for this story. One is from a music video, a video with the song for Asgore that has lyrics in which at one point the words "What if I was just a human born underground." that got me thinking. The other source of inspiration for this story is the writings from the undertale fanfic writer named Syhraus. I suggest checking them out as I have enjoyed their stuff.
