"Ask him what his name is," my wolf comments impatiently.

"I'm getting to it," I link back to her.

"So sweetie, do mind telling me what your name is?" I ask softly.

"Justin," he mumbles.

"What a nice name," I grin, trying to make him to feel more comfortable.

"Thank you Luna," he says as his shyness begins to fade away.

"If you don't mind, can we talk about where you were before you came here?" I asked cautiously.

He nods hesitantly.

"Let's go sit down on the sofa," I offer, motioning to it.

I place him on the sofa and sit up next to him and after a few minutes of comfortable silence I speak up.

"How did you end up on these pack grounds?" I ask.

"Werewolves attacked my home... they tried to kill me and daddy I had no choice but to run I didn't m-mean to end up on your land Luna," he whimpered softly.

"Werewolves, like rogues?" I question while comforting him.

"No Luna, a pack..." he starts to mumble

"A pack? Why would a pack attack your house sweetie?" I ask.

"B-because we are vampires Luna, please don't hurt me I'm not a bad vampire," he cries harder.

My jaw dropped slightly. Justin's a vampire? How couldn't I smell him? I pushed the thoughts aside as his cries grew louder. It didn't matter to me, I wasn't going to let anyone hurt him.

"Shh sweetheart it's okay," I comfort him. But suddenly Lucas and Ethan come barging in angrily and I know then they were following me and listening.

"Luna step away from the vampire!" Ethan demands, his eyes flickering from red to brown.

Justin begins to wail and hides in the crook of my neck and Lucas and Ethan growl louder.

"Both of you shut up, he's only a child what is your problem?" I growl quietly, trying not to scare Justin further.

"Luna please place the child on the sofa and come over here, we've already mind-linked Xavier and he is coming over immediately and he won't be pleased to see a vampire at your neck!" Lucas tries to reason with me but I'm not listening.

Suddenly Justin pulls away and tries to get out of my grip but I don't let him run away because I'm scared Lucas and Ethan will hurt him and take him back down to the dungeons.

"Justin, Justin! What's wrong?" I panic.

"I'm so hungry Luna I can't help it I'm sorry please I can't hurt you." He is panicking too.

"Oh my, you haven't had any...blood in weeks have you?" I ask even though I knew the answer.

Before he can answer Xavier bursts through the door his eyes black as a midnight sky.

He grabs my arm quite roughly making me wince and let go of Justin and he drags me upstairs and I comply up until I see Lucas roughly taking Justin by the arm and back down to what I'm guessing is the dungeons which instantly sets off something in me and I start kicking and screaming at them all but I'm not strong enough compared to Xavier, he is the Alpha after all, so my body slumps against him and I start to cry, he's been through so much and I can't even imagine how scared he is right now.

"Elizabeth? Elizabeth? Elizabeth!" Xavier shakes me.

"What do you want?" I ask venomously.

"He's a vampire, he's the enemy." He spits.

"He's a child," I cry, trying to push myself out of his grip.

"I don't care, vampires are vampires." He says refusing to listen to me.

"Anger isn't solving anything, show him that you're upset over this, and he will soften up to you," Eartha tells me.

She's right, I look up at Xavier with tears in my eyes and say,

"He isn't going to hurt anyone, he's a child no more than 7 years old probably, and you didn't see him earlier he was terrified of hurting me, he's a good kid Xavier please listen to me," I tell him gently.

Xavier looks down to me and sighs, "let's go to sleep and we'll properly discuss this first thing in the morning over breakfast," He says calmly.

Better than nothing, I guess. "Okay, but there is no way he is staying wherever your Beta took him." I look up at him through my wet eyelashes and smile softly at him, for him to look back down and kiss me gently on my flushed cheeks, nodding ever so slightly.
