Sienna Pov:
Here I am again. In the never ending pit of darkness. All alone. 'How it should be'. My mind is telling me. Of course, I don't deserve to be surrounded by people. To feel loved. What's that like again. The feeling to be loved and cherished, to know that you always have someone by your side guiding you through every hardship you face. God I haven't felt that in years. But I can't blame anyone for it other than myself.
Here I am consumed by the darkness of the night that seems to be my forever. Standing in the middle of the forest letting whatever moonlight there is peaking beyond the trees softly hit my face. My only source of light, being the moon, seems to be guiding me further and deeper into the forest. I don't know where I am at this point. It doesn't matter though. Here, here is where I feel at ease. My mind finally at peace when listening to the soft and quiet chirps of the crickets, the wind breezing past me while walking toward what I vaguely remember to be a beautiful meadow hidden away by the thousands of trees of the forest. I found the meadow a few months ago during the end of the summer holidays. I call it my secret gem. No one else knows about the meadow because as a matter of fact no one in this town is keen on nature. It's like a world of its own. With the various types of wildlife and botanics. It's practically a fantasy. It has everything. Glorious fields and large trees perfect for climbing. I spent the majority of my summer laying underneath the large oak tree with a book in hand reading to my hearts content.
All that comes to a stop. An abrupt ending to a peaceful journey. I heard a deafening scream....no screech. All that can be heard now is the rustling of leaves and the squawks of crows flying away from their comfortable positions in the trees. But who was that? What happened? It was near me thats for sure. But why? Is what I'm thinking right now. Before I could even process the next step I'd take I was grabbed harshly by the arm.
"What the FUCK!?" I screamed out to the stranger.
"Please...." The young girl panted. "Please keep your voice down. He might hear us. And if he does I don't know what he'd do to us next......" I didn't even let her finish her sentence because I rashly took her hand in mine and ran to escape the forest knowing we weren't alone as I expected.
