"I like Marlene."

"Well yeah she's your friend," I say simply, looking at her confused.

"Not like that," she mutters before sitting on the toilet and bursting into tears.

"Oh my.. Lynn, are you okay?!"

"What do you mean?"

"You think I care about that?!"

"W-what?"

"Thank you for your honesty."

She looks at me, confused.

I bow like the Candor.

She bursts into laughter.

"Are you serious?"

"Of course I am."

I feel closer to Lynn than ever.

-

"Lily, wanna go before me?" Uriah asks, looking down the building.

"Uri, are you nervous?" I whisper so only he can hear.

His cheeks flush.

"Nah, it's just-"

"I'll go."

Uriah's brother, Zeke, straps my harness on and I leap off the building. I really feel like I'm flying.

I feel Dauntless.

-

During dinner, Marlene seems to have recovered from last night. Lynn makes conversation with her so that it's not uncomfortable.

After about five minutes of us listening to Lynn talk about ziplining, Uriah whispers in my ear.

"I need to talk to you."

I just look at him.

"Excuse yourself and meet me on the roof, I'll be there in a few."

I nod, and do so.

My mind is blank while I wait for him.

He emerges from the elevator, looking stressed.

"Hi."

"Hey, Uri. What's up?"

"Well I was thinking."

"Abouuuuuuttt...."

"Well, I've liked Marlene since we were kids. And she's always rejected me. But now.."

"She likes you."

"Yeah."

I nod, trying to hold back tears.

"Thank you for your honesty," I whisper, scurrying into the elevator and pressing the down button.

I wake up the next day for initiation. I'm nervous, but not as nervous as I was last week. Since this week is all stimulations, they will be terrifying, but won't hurt. Well, hopefully.

I slide into ripped black jeans and a black shirt, and walk to the training room.

I end up being the last initiate to be tested today, and will be every day.

I shudder and walk in, sitting in the reclined seat.

"You okay?" Four says, a little worried.

I nod.

He puts the needle in my neck.

I can see nothing around me, it's pitch black dark. I soon realize I'm in a plastic bag. At first, I'm okay, but it soon becomes difficult to breathe.

My chest gets heavier and heavier, as I begin to suffocate. I'm too terrified to move, and I don't stop struggling. There's no way out.

It feels so real.

I lay back, and close my eyes.

Now I'm in the Pit. I look down, and find that I'm covered in blood. I begin to feel dizzy when I feel the warm liquid trickling down my leg. Nothing hurts. There's just a lot of blood.

Blood.

I feel like I'm about to throw up. It's all over me. It came out of someone's body. It's,

Blood.

I pass out

This is when I wake up.

"Never seen the fear of blood before."

"I think I'm gonna be sick," I mutter, running out. The other initiates are already gone.

I run as fast as I can to the restroom and throw up.

Gross.

-

Dinner is quick. I'm on my way to put my plate away early when Uriah grabs me and pulls me into a hallway.

"It's really okay, Ur-"

"You didn't let me finish last night."

I shrug.

"If you like her, there's nothing I can do."

"And there's nothing you can do if I like you, instead," he says, looking at me.

My heart skips a few beats just as I feel my cheeks flush.

He leans in close and gently kissing my neck, making his way up to my lips and biting my bottom one before kissing it.

He winks at me and leaves.

{I'm finally getting a few readers. I try to add romance for the people who like that, but please comment if you want more or less of anything or anyone. Also if you like this fanfic, spreading the word about it would be so helpful! Thank you and bye bye}
