I glanced up at the night sky,
And silently watched the stars twinkle.
As I closed my eyes,
And I felt you smile.
My heart sank the moment I opened them,
I looked around for you,
But you were nowhere to be seen.
I felt a tear slip down my eye,
That's when I realised,
You were no longer with me,
You were with her, by her side.
