Bakugou.
A kid who never was into the whole soulmate idea. Actually, he hated it, hated every little bit about it. And he just happened to not-so-lucky to have a strange ability that only about 15% of the human population had. This ability was being able to see strings of red hanging off almost everyone's pinkies in a dark, grey, gloomy world. Of course it's almost everyone, everybody but him.
Did this bother him? No, it didn't. He wasn't all worried about the strings like other people who were obsessed with them. And yes, people knew these strings existed, but most couldn't see them. However, some people were the "see it to believe it" kind so they thought it was just a myth. What he was focused on was becoming the number one pro hero. Chasing his dream to the ends of the universe. Being not like All Might, but better. Plus, the strings could always appear on one of his pinkies one day if he met somebody who was compatible with him.
You know, if people were to know that he had this ability, ---which some did because his mother braging to others--- they would always be so amazed and fascinated by it. They would ask so many questions like, "Do you think you would ever become a matchmaker one day?" "That's so cool! I wonder why I'm not as lucky as you!" Or "I wish I could see the color red!"
However, Bakugou didn't think this ability was great and amazing as it was praised to be. If anything, it was a curse. The color was so annoying and such an eyesore to him. He'd rather see just different shades of black, grey, and white like everybody else did. All of those colors, without red. What an amazing dream that he could never have.

First day of school. Yeah, he was extremely happy when he got accepted into Yuuei Academy, or UA for short, not that he had a doubt that he wouldn't get in. However, that stop him from being very nervous, but couldn't let that show. That would make him look like a weakling like Deku and people would make fun of him. He wasn't going to let that happen to him.
A new school, new people, ---not that he liked people, but maybe it'd be nice to have a friend for once--- and generally a new environment. The school was absolutely beautiful. The way the architecture was built was amazing. And from what he could see, not a single spot of red, wonderful.
It was also the school where All Might and many other pro heroes attended at one point. This was the school of his dreams, where he'd start his life-long goal. This was it, the beginning of the story of his journey becoming a pro hero. Finally, he--
Bam!
"Oh sorry man! Didn't see where I was going, my bad."
They stared at each other for a quick moment, locking red eyes to red eyes. One with annoyance in his eyes and the other with an apologetic sense in his eyes.
A kid who Bakugou didn't recognize or know. He spoke very apologetically, but Bakugou only grunted and looked away to continue walking. The kid was caught off guard, and start to chase after Bakugou once he started to walked away.
"I'm really sorry, dude. Um, anyways, nice to meet you! What's your name?"
No response from Bakugou. Who is this kid and why is he trying to be friendly with Bakugou? It didn't matter though, he was only getting in the way from Bakugou getting to his class.
"Okay then, well my name is--"
He cut off by a wave of people crowding in that area. The two got separated from each other. The kid tried to get back to Bakugou, but he couldn't since the people wouldn't move out of the way. He was far too kind to push any of them and instead said "Excuse me" politely. Obviously, nobody could hear him as there were so many other kids screaming and talking to each other.
Bakugou continued to walk away and get to his class.
But he just couldn't seem to get that small conversation with that random kid out of his head. The way they locked eyes, he just could not, not think about it. He looked at him, memorizing every detail of his face. The way how the kid was so kind to him unlike other people in his previous school who were always rude.
And the worst of it all, his dumb hair that was all spiked up was the stupidly, annoying, bright color red.
