**LAURENT POV**

It was a glorious day, our ma, BF's, there girls and us were returning to a picnic area after a gentle stroll at Nirvana Pines.  As we approached the area us guys recognised familiar faces seated at a BBQ table, us guys glanced at each other
Us guys:    PETER PAN - calling out
Jim, Abraham (Abe) and Glen (JAG) looked our way, smiled and moved heading for us.  We all hugged as our ma and the girls approached. We introduced our ma, Frank and Kirk introduced Christine (Chris) Angela (Ang). We all returned to a table and sat
Frank:        What are you doing here
Jim:        Visiting our sister-in-laws
Kirk:        The one's with the iron fists
Jim:        That'll be them - smiling
Kirk:        How long you in the city for
Abe:        Was suppose to be for four days' . . . Two weeks later we're still here - chuckling
We all laughed
Kirk:        Where about's in the city do your sis-in-laws stay
Abe:        They don't, they live here at Nirvana Pines
Chris:        Here . . . . . I don't see any houses
Abe:        On the other side of the hill
Chris:        Thats a mountain
Chris:        Nope, thats a hill, the mountain is on the other side, Nirvana Alps between them - bluntly
Us:            There's a township on the other side - surprised
JAG nodded and chuckled
Chris:        How do you get there
Jim:        Tunnels or through the forest, either way are windy
Chris:        I haven't seen any sign posts in the forest
Glen:        You were probably on the scenic route or you weren't looking - bluntly
Jim:        Laurent, Larry, we saw you at the Military Service last week
Us:            You we're there too
Abe:        Yip, unfortunately we couldn't break formation to come over and say 'Hi
Chris:        Are you in the Army too
Jim and Glen:    Marines
Abe:        Airforce
Chris:        What we're you two doing there
Ma:            Paying their respects for the women and men who lost their lives protecting our country so we can live in peace
JAG:        Thank you ma'am - head bowing
Ma:            Your welcome - smiling
Jim:        You said Army, do you know someone in the Army
Chris:        Not me, hell no, Lau, Lar, Frank and Kirk do - JAG looked at us guys
Us:            Teddy, Jason
JAG:        Sapp, Kat, Rosie, Lin, Tommy and Eric - we were all surprised
Ma:            How do you know them
Jim:        Sapp and Kat are our sister-in-laws - our jaws dropped
Chris:        There married to your . . . . . .
Glen:        Be very careful with your choice of words - harshly cutting her off
Chris:        Okay, um . . . .
Jim:        We'll be leaving now - cutting her off
JAG excused themselves, stood up and strolled away, when out of earshot
Chris:        I didn't know they were married
Ang:        Really, you were the one who pointed out the rings on Sapp and Kats fingers
Ma:            Wait! . . Have you met up with them
We tell our ma about the karaoke when we were on the trip with JAG, our BF's looked at us surprised
Lau:        That was them on the table singing - our ma laughed
We then tell them about the bike in the mud
Ma:            Why didn't you tell me
Lar:        Would you have come home with us if they asked you to stay with them, hmmm
Ma:            Probably not
Lau:        And you wonder why we didn't tell you - like a diva
We all laughed
Ang:        Do you know them
Ma:            For the short time they were in our lives
Chris:        Was that when Lau and Lar cheated on them
Ma:            Yes, I was very fond of Sapphire and Kaitlyn.  I made Lau and Larry's lives hell for over a month
Us:            Don't remind us ma - covering our faces and peeking through a gap in our fingers
They all laughed

**LARRY POV**

The past two weeks or so Lau and I had been thinking off and on about Sapphire (Sapp) and Kaitlyn (Kat). The 'what if's', 'if only's', we knew we couldn't turn back time, we did know we could rebuild our friendship.  We have hundreds of acquaintances only because of who we are and could count on one hand our true friends.  We have a lot of love to give and willing to take love from someone but with our track record of cheating ex's followed with expensive divorces, we have trust issues, we now know how Sapp and Kat felt, admittedly . . . . . We were lonely

Our BF's and there girls were at ours hanging, home for us is a four bedroom penthouse overlooking the city. Boredom was setting in but we also noticed something strange, we glanced at each other and moved to the sofa's
Lau:        Chris . . . Are you okay
Chris:        Yeah . . . Why
Lar:        Just you being quiet, are you hiding something
Lau:        Maybe your guilty about something
Lar:        Or you got caught doing something you shouldn't of being doing - she glared at us
Us:            Ooooo . . . . . Which is it
Chris:        If you must know, I've done a bit of research - looking away
Lau:        Didn't like what you found eh
Lar:        Disturbing was it, give you nightmares, freak the shit out of you
Lau:        Could be dramatic, pulled on the ole' heartstrings
Lar:        Maybe made you angry, you want to kill someone - her eyes shot to us
Us:            Daammnn . . . . . What ever it was it's affected you - as a tear rolled down her cheek
Chris:        I found out how your friends lost their legs and how their husbands died . . Okay - swiping the tear away
We just looked at her
Chris:        What! . . . . .
Lau:        You had the audacity to push the issue, if it has this affect on you
Lar:        What affect would it have had on our friends having to re-live the nightmare every time someone asked . . Ha! - raising our voices
Chris:        I know . . I know . . I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that - defending herself and looking at Frank
Frank:        You just couldn't let it go . . . Could you - angrily
Chris looked at us with sad eyes
Ang:        Do you know what they went through.  Have you walked in their shoes.  Did they want sympathy - raising her voice
Chris shook her head 'no
Ang:        Then harden the fuck up, quit with the "I'm a victim" bullshit, it didn't happen to you - coldly

Silence overcame us, we looked at each other, it dawned on us . . . . . Sapp and Kat are widows.  We recalled JAG speaking with us one time while on the trip telling us their mama had been married twice.  Jim and Glen are full brothers, Abe is their half brother and gave their sis-in-laws her engagement rings.  There brothers had wedding and eternity rings custom made to match the rings
