My eyes grogily open to the sun shining through the window into my once dim lit room. Waking up i felt a difference to the atmosphere . My head was full as I looked around the room wondering where I was. But it hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm at my aunt's. I got up and stumbled to the door. The bathroom was down the hall but I eventually made it. I looked in the mirror. My eyes had big bags underneath and my once beautiful curls are now a bird's nest on my head.
Walking down the hall a little more came steps. I followed them to the kitchen to see my aunt cooking.
"You Should've been up already! Your going to school and that's final...i don't care how late you are." Her voice said bitter and sharp
Looking at my brother sitting at the island I could see it's hurting him too. After only one day...one day we go back to school. I came into realization that I'm living with Satan. After I slowly ate breakfast I went back upstairs to get ready for school. The one thing I should not be going to after what happened. But I tried my best not to look like a complete zombie that just rose from the dirt.
My brother stood by the door waiting for a ride from me. He hasn't said a word for the past two days. But the devil's spawn expects us to go to school.
Driving there I saw a single tear roll down my older brothers eye. He was staring down at his phone. But when the car stopped he got out without a word. I watched as he quickly ran in the building. Outside of the school were many kids...laughing and talking. Too much for my liking. I grazed up the steps to the huge school complex. Something you'd see in sappy teenage TV dramas.
But this was Way bigger than my other school that stood in my small old town. My old school had Less kids, less care of the outside, less of everything really. But i walked in the school anyways. I made eye contact with no body. I just cling to my back pack and walked in. The main office is in hind sight so I might as well get a schedule. I know some may be think...Why not just skip? Your aunt wouldn't know AND you have a car! Well easy. My. Stupid. Conscience. It just won't let me. So there you have it, me complaining even though I could literally skip instead of doing something I don't want to do.
In the office was and older lady with glasses, royal blue pants, a black top, and an odd scarf that throws off the outfit. But whatever makes her happy right? She gave me everything and I then tiredly shuffled to my new class.
New School. New House. New People. Brand New Life. All starting Junior year because of one harmful incident. One incident that changed my whole life for forever.
