Red.
That was all Scarlett could see from her tear covered eyes, being vaguely able to see his silhouette through her blurred world.
Pain.
Scarlett could only feel the slicing of the knife in her wrists by his own hands, carving line after line into her skin.
The pain of the knife kept her grounded but the blood was flowing out of her arms in little streams. She couldn't even tell if the loud and piercing wailing was from her or him. The chunks of her body would hit the tile with little squishing thuds, the pale skin she once hated now stained in crimson.
She closed her eyes, letting the pain slowly lift her away. The screaming and sniffling that was unbearable to the ears was soon was drowned out into the welcoming black void of peace.
Her eyes shot open, slowly taking in her surroundings. All she could see was her body, arms mangled beyond repair with a pained expression on her pale face. The once bright blue eyes of hers, now dull and lifeless. Her attention soon drifted to the other body laying near hers, the forearms in even worse condition compared to her corpse. The boy's hair once a caramel now dyed red.
She reached out to touch her corpse only to see her hand pass through the cold flesh. Her face soon turned to shock, looking at the marks swirling on her own arms. Each mark on her arm matched the dead body's, but her arm was now a slate white instead of it's usual peach tone.
"Scarlett, we did it," a familiar voice said behind her.
She froze, slowly turning around to see him.
The one who ruined her.
The one who made her feel loved.
The one who killed her.
The one who she once loved.
He reached out and held her body close to his, his embrace cold and possessive.
"Now we'll be together forever. No one will be able to separate us anymore."
