It was a stormy night in Blüdhaven and I was in my apartment reading. Cippia, my shadow German Shepard was laying on his dog bed, just watching the television. The kind old man who lived across the street had come over to visit so he and Cippia were watching the T.V. He's the best neighbor ever. Makes a mean chocolate pie too. He was tall, had a full gray beard, gray hair combed back, and a bit of muscle from his work he retired from.
"So...Zella, you ever going to get a guy?"
"No Gus. I hurt people too easily. You know this."
"If you take that gosh darn watch off and practice, you would master your powers."
"Not with The Batman 33 minutes away from this city. That would be asking him to take me to Arkham.", I put my book down and head off to take a shower.
"What am I going to do with her Cippia?", Gus asks the dog.
Cippia just flops onto his side.
"You're a big help bud.", Gus puts his elbow on the armrest and his head on his fist of that arm.
