Marinette's POV~

I woke up  feeling worthless and useless. I got up and showered, cleaning off all the dried blood I had on my skin. I got out of the shower and decided to change into something comfortable.

I chose to wear some black yoga pants with neon green paw patterns and a shirt with the same design. I put on my black flats with neon green bows on the tip of the shoe. Then to finish my look, I put on my custom made chat noir inspired hoody. It has cat ears on the hoody. The main design on the hoody is a big neon green pawprint. Written on the pawprint it said: "Purrfect"

I grabbed my black and white  bag. I headed to school, not caring if I was late or early. I walked into the entrance of the school, now I checked the time. It was lunch already. Whatever. I made my way to the office to get a tardy slip.

"Hello! I need a tardy slip." I asked. The woman in the chair looked up at me as in annoyance.

"It's lunch. Why did you even come to school. You didn't have to show up today." She said, pretty annoyed that I'm asking for a tardy slip this late.

"I'm sorry. I'll try to show up earlier tomorrow, but can I please have a tardy slip?" I asked, getting exasperated with this person with her ugly personality. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Whatever.....Here!" She said handing me a tardy slip.

"Write your name and classroom yourself! Now leave!" She said in such a venomous way.

"Thank you. Have a nice day." I said, trying to lift up her mood a little. I grabbed a pen and wrote what was left on the tardy note.

I headed to my class not caring about lunch today.(If I was Marinette, I would have been running to the lunch line)

I got to my class to see nobody there except.....Adrien......Why is he always at class and not at lunch?

I walked in and set my tardy slip on the desk of the teacher. I noticed Adrien's eyes follow my every move. I put my hoody on making the cat ears pop up. I began to walk to my seat, but was stopped by Adrien asking me something.

"M-Marinette? D-Did you d-d-design t-that h-hoody?" I nodded slowly, not staring him in the eyes. I sat down in my seat and took out my design book.

-----Class begins-----

"Marinette, I need to talk to you real quick in the hall." Ms. Adams said. I nodded and got up from my seat. I began to make my way to the door, but Chloe just had to trip me. I fell and everyone laughed...just like yesterday. I tried to get up but I couldn't. I tried and I tried but still I couldn't get up from the floor.

"Marinette! Please get off the floor this instant!" Ms. Adams demanded. I began to cry out loud.

"I-I'm sorry m-miss, but I-I c-can't get u-up!" I choked out.

"Adrien, can you do me a favor and help Marinette up from the floor?" She asked Adrien. He nodded and helped me up. I thanked him and tried to stand on my own, but I ended up falling back to the floor. Everyone looked at me with worried expressions, except Sabrina, Chloe, and Lila.

"Marinette?! Here, let me help you through the door and then you can sit on the bench in the hallway." Adrien said. I nodded, tears still evident in my eyes. Adrien picked me up and carried me bridal style through the door and he even place me down on the bench.

"Thank you Adrien. You're such a wonderful student. You chose to help your classmate." Ms. Adams said. I nodded.

"Thank you Adrien. That was very kind of you." I said, barely above a whisper. He smiled at me.

"No problem!" He said smiling from ear to ear. Then I remembered!

"Ms. Adams? You wanted to tell me something?" I asked her. She nodded and looked sorry for me.

"Yes. Adrien? Please stay with Marinette for this." She said. Adrien only nodded and sat down next to me on the bench. I just kept my sight on Ms. Adams.

"Marinette....the police informed the school to tell you that.....both your parents got into a car accident on the way back home and unfortunately passed away." Ms. Adams said. I felt my body stiffen up. I turned to look at Adrien and he looked at me with sympathy and pity. I began to cry and he ended up hugging me. My head was on his chest and I hugged him tighter. If this was in a normal circumstance, I would have been blushing so damn hard, but it isn't in a normal circumstance. Both my parents are dead...

"Adrien...I have nowhere to stay...."I looked at him with tears in my eyes. He looked sad.

"If you want to stay with someone....you can stay at my house. I'll ask father if he's okay with it." He said, looking a little bit nervous. I gave him another hug.

"I-I-I don't want to b-b-bother you and Mr. A-Agreste." I said nervously. I barely remembered that this is Adrien I'm talking to.

"Oh no. You're not a bother, I'll ask my father right away...Only if you want to that is!" He said, panicking a little at the end. I nodded my head.

"If i-it is o-okay with Mr. A-Agreste I would be a-a-absolutely greatful for t-this." I said.

"Alright. Ms. Adams, is it okay if I call my father right now and ask him?" He asked her. She just nodded. He quickly thanked her. He then left to talk to his dad.

"I still....I still can't believe that....that they're a-actually g-gone...." I said. Tears began to pour out of my eyes. Ms. Adams just stood there and looked at me with pity. They are gone....they are never coming back...

Adrien's POV~

ring ring

I waited for my father to answer his phone. Marinette...you must be feeling so alone...

"Adrien. I'm busy. Hurry up with what you need to tell me." He said. Not even a hello. Wow. I rolled my eyes.

"Father, I need to ask if it is okay if I have my classmate stay over." I said. I heard a  scoff on the other side of the phone.

"Why? Doesn't she have parents and a home to go to?" He said sarcastically. My blood began to boil.

"Actually father, she doesn't have parents to go to." I said, my voice as cold as the man I am talking to.

"What? Adrien, don't joke about something like this." He said, worry in his words. Maybe he is not as cold as I thought.

"I'm not joking father. Do you remember Marinette Dupain-cheng, the girl who won the Durby Hat Contest?" I said. He just clears his throat as in saying to continue.

"Today Marinette was told by our teacher, Ms. Adams, that both her parents died in a car accident. She is absolutely broken right now. I was hoping if she could stay with us." I concluded.

"Alright. Adrien, tell Ms. Marinette Dupain-cheng that she is welcome in my home. I'll ask Nathalie to drive you and Marinette to her previous home to pack and then drive you both over here. If that is all, this conversation is over." He said. He actually said yes!

"Thank you da-father!" I said, but the call ended. I need to go tell Marinette that it's alright with my father!!!
