When People Magazine came out the following week, I bought five copies. I don't know why really, I just wanted them.

I ate some fruit as I sat around the house. I woke up this morning to find Uncle Ni and Emily gone. But Emily had left a note to tell me they went grocery shopping and out on a breakfast date. It was lunch time now. I liked the peace and quite though.

I cleaned some of the dishes that were left in the sink and cleaned up more of the house. I didn't get to the upstairs though since the upstairs is shared. I vacuumed the hall and cleaned my room though.

When I finished cleaning it was almost four in the afternoon, "Where are they?" I spoke out loud. I sighed and went to get the mail. I sorted everything into piles.

Uncle Ni had all the bills, a couple things from grandma, and the newspaper. I had a bank letter, a couple letters from Violet, and a dentist notice that my appointment is coming up. Then what was left was odd. Emily's name was on two letters. One from her phone company and the other is a letter from her mum I think.

----

It was nearing six when the front door opened and voices could be heard. I ran out of my room and dashed down the stairs to the kitchen, "Hey Cambrie." Uncle Ni smiled.

"Why were you gone all day?" I freaked. Both of them sighed.

"Sorry sweetheart, we were just having fun." Emily said.

"And another question, is Emily living here now? Because I got the mail today and there was stuff addressed to her." I said. The both didn't speak, "I asked a question." I sassed.

"Yes, she's living here now. I asked her to." Uncle Ni said.

"I was scared to death." I said and hugged the two. They held on to me tightly.

"I'm sorry. We should've called." Emily said. Not hearing from them all day made me think to my parents.

"I'm just glad you're home. Now I don't have to make dinner." I said calmly.

"Way to ruin a moment." Uncle Ni huffed. I laughed and Emily stood by me.

"Where did you put the mail?" Emily asked me.

"Coffee table in the living room. Everything is organized by who it's addressed to. And Uncle Ni, grandma sent you some stuff." He groaned and huffed.

"So looking forward to that!" He sarcastically said. Emily and I laughed at his bitterness.
