Chapter 2 Captive

"Ah they speak English and Russian "

"Russian!!!" exclaimed Arnold "Those are strongest people I've ever met in my life how you don't freeze in Mother Russia?" he howled in laughter hitting me on my back as my hand was occupied with my heavy backpack I snorted

"Well, I guess it's the vodka that keeps us sane and warm also Their Majesty! Every single soldier ready to die to protect the country and people that live in there!" I smiled fondly at the memories, 'Welp yeah it's good that I paid attention in history class' I laughed as the others paid us wide-eyed and jaw-dropping faces looking bewildered at their friend that was so familiar with me. So I gave them a toothy smile they all gasped again making me quirk a brow.

Was ist es? Du siehst aus, als hättest du Ghost gesehen! (What is it? You look like you saw ghost!)

Ihre Zähne, Sie sind weiß! (Your teeth, they are white!)

Ja, Ich reinige Sie Jeden Tag! Es ist gut für Ihre Gesundheit! Hier haben einige von diesen! (Yeah I clean them every day! it's good for your health! Here have some of these!)

I gave them some of my food supplements I had a lot of canned meat, potatoes, beans, everyone beamed like little children before receiving their birthday gifts everyone grabbed a cane with food finding a fast way how to open them (( the canes had directions to open in german language)) as other guys of my group were happy to give them bread and food as well! I looked at the woods and the idea strikes me maybe if I go hunting I will feed more of them, after all, there are sick ones that had to be fed too!

" Guys stay here I will go for a while?" everyone looks at me questioningly as the guys eat in a hurry 'Heh Soldats' I thought quietly "I'm going to hunt in the woods we need more food you know !" I nodded to the tent with sick german fellows, as Arnold rises and says

"I will join you Frau, ich can't let you go in there allein!!!! "he said something to the others in German and they all nodded and agreed, also some of them muttered and looked at me!

"Mein Herr!! I believe Doni can help you with the sick ones she is a great doctor! If you need something ask her but in English! " I laughed looking at the confused ladies

"What about me ?" said Dobi looking at me raising an eyebrow I turned my head and tilted it to the side curiously

"Well you can help here maybe some stuff is needed to be clean and made and also you're a soldier now!" I chuckled looking at the amusing faces of the soldiers that were laughing now at Dobi, as we walked out of the camp I decided to ask Arnold about their commander.

"Arnold?"

"Ja, Fräulein?" ( Yes miss?)

"Is your commander is a good person?" I looked at him as he inhaled the fresh air and looked back at me

"Well for a man that is feared by everyone even me, he is strong commander, smart, never forgiving, disciplined, cautious, he has a good battle strategy, but a person he cares for his people even if he's blood loving person! Heh as for women, once there was a woman that had mistaken the tents and went into his, since he was readying himself for sleep and she didn't know when she went inside the blood-curdling scream everyone heard as she dashed from the tent yelling and screaming about his devilish appearance as he came out everyone was laughing as he smiled she dashed, even more, believe me, if it was me I would run too! I believe the poor miss is still running from fear!" He howled in laughter wiping the tears from his face I was wheezing trying to collect myself

"Oh gott! Is he so scary? I mean what is so spooky about this mad beside that he slaughter on the battlefield ?!" I looked at him as he winked and nodded his head

"You will see yourself, miss! When we come back I believe he'll be back too !" he smirked at me as I prepared for my hunt

"Need help?" he sat on a tree trunk looking at the equipment I had taking out a smoke-pipe lilting it with a match and taking a puff from it! I adjusted my gear and winked at him telling

"It's ok I can hunt myself just look out if there are some enemies around!" I said and walked to the first tree my camouflage clothes made it impossible to be seen in the autumn trunks, trees and leaves I crawled closer to my first victim, a hare, 'Perfect ' I thought crawling closer as I heard rustling and made my move fast as lightning I strike the hare dead then comes the next one and next I gather them in a pile as I hear a horse galloping to Arnold location as I turn my head I see a black horse and back clothed rider but else takes my attention as I snap my head to the rustling thinking it was another hare I am ready as suddenly a black as the night the thing that amazed me was the eyes they were icy blue, he snarled at me and walked closer his fur on his back standing on end

"Look!" I said holding my machete down " Is either I give you a hare and you're out for good! And no one gets hurt either or you attack me and I kill you believe me I never miss a beat!" I sat lower to pick up a dead hare never breaking eye contact and throw it at the wolf which gladly accepts the food and walks away I never lose him out of sight it's only then I feel stare on my back I turn around and...
