Happy drove Kevin and I back. It was quiet, I don't think Kevin wanted to talk around Happy.
When we got back home, I led Kevin inside by the arm.
The team stayed behind to finish up their visit to terminal patients.
"Do you need any help?" Happy called from the car.
I turned my head and shook it, "No, I think I can handle it," I answered him before I headed inside.
Kevin was right beside me.
"Do you need anything? Food? Water?" I offered.
Kevin shook his head.
I held Kevin's arm as I brought him to my room, seating him on the bed.
"Thanks Pietro, that place was hell," Kevin said as he sat, looking in my general direction.
"I know a thing or two about having to stay in hospitals," I told him, looking down at my stump.
He seemed to remember, "Oh... I, uh, forgot about that... How, uh, did you-?" Kevin trailed off.
It was fine, I knew what he meant, "It has healed as best it can I think... Do you want to-?" I asked as I touched his hand with a few fingers.
He startled for a moment before giving a quiet nod.
I waited a few moments before I took his hand and guided it to my shirt sleeve that was sewed closed.
I wasn't sure if I'd be ready for anyone to see it, much less feel it.
Kevin felt for a few minutes before giving a quiet, "I'm sorry, this is my fault..." Kevin said, he sounded like he wanted to cry.
"Do not blame yourself, it is not your fault," I told him as I dropped his hand, sitting on the bed beside him.
"Would you like to rest while I cook dinner?" I questioned him.
He sat there silently for a few moments before slowly nodding his head.
I helped him find the pillows and waited for him to lay down, "Just tell FRIDAY if you need anything," I told him before leaving the room to start dinner.
