Rule #8: If a student becomes ill, s/he must go to the nurse for an excuse. Then and only then will the student be excused and exempt from the day's assignments.

Gwen groaned as her alarm rang a little too loudly. It was Monday morning and she knew she had to get to class, but her head was pounding and her throat felt puffy and dry. And even though the air conditioning was not working and it was normal temperature, Gwen shivered as if she were in Alaska (where she still had to go).

Lilliana jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom, determined to have the bathroom for a bit longer. Apparently, she was trying to impress one of the upperclassmen boys, though she really didn't need extra time to make herself look beautiful. When Lilliana came out eight minutes and fourteen seconds later, Gwen was still in bed, hugging herself and squeezing her eyes shut. "You definitely need to go to the nurse, darling." Lilliana walked up to Gwen, looking at her. She carefully placed the back of her hand on Gwen's forehead and frowned. "Maybe the rain from the other day did this?" she suggested with a small shrug. "Come on, Gwen. I'll take you to the nurse, but I don't think you want to walk down the halls in polka dotted shorts and a striped shirt." She smiled a bit as she noted Gwen's completely mismatched outfit.

In Gwen's defense, by the time she had gotten back from one of the secret tunnels--she had been studying-- it was way too late to open the lights and pick matching pj's. After all, who was going to see them? Gwen groaned, wondering when her luck was going to change and toppled out of the bed, stumbling a bit as she tried to steady herself. "This is awful," she mumbled, grabbing a hoodie and pulling it over her shirt. She looked at Lilliana, her vision just a bit blurry and mumbled,"This better?"

Lilliana looked her over and shrugged,"If you really don't want to wear any pants, by all means..." she trailed off gesturing towards the door.

Gwen groaned again, grabbing a pair of sweat pants and putting them on as she stumbled to the door. "Happy now?"

"It'll do," Lilliana shrugged, smiling a bit. "COme on, Gwen. It'll be okay. Just think of it as an extra break from doing all those assignments you've been complaining about,"

Gwen just nodded, too tired and preoccupied with thoughts about feeling like she was going to puke to be positive about any of this. After all, Lilliana was not in her position. Lilliana lead the way to the nurse's office which felt like it was a million miles away, even though in reality it was just down the stairs and to the right. "Hi, Mrs. Lonna," Lilliana said brightly and so loudly that Gwen winced in pain. "Sorry," Lilliana whispered.

Mrs. Lonna took one look at Gwen and immediately rushed over,"Oh, dear. Lay down, sweetheart. I'll get you some medicine and send an email to your teachers. You aren't going to class today, not looking like that!"

Gwen sighed with relief as she lay down in one of the cots which were actually very comfortable. "Thanks, Lil," Gwen mumbled weaklyas Lilliana turned to leave.

"Get better, okay? I'll bring you some chocolate or something," She waved before disappearing down the hall to get to Covert Ops.

Gwen was given some medicine to get rid of the headache and the fever and eventually she fell asleep again, waking up every once in while to drink water.

By the time lunch rolled around, Gwen was feeling much better, though definitely not good enough to run around and study. Mrs. Lonna handed her a bowl of soup and smiled,"Why don't you go to one of the lounges. No noises over there, especially since everyone will be outside. It's a very nice day today, you know." She turned to hand Gwen a robe. "Here, sweetheart. Just go relax somewhere quieter than here. But come back in a couple hours for your medicine, okay?"

Gwen nodded,"Thanks," She carefully made her way down the halls, thankful that nobody was around. Even she could tell she didn't look that great. She went to her dorm to grab Mrs. Linh's notebook, wanting to try and read a little while she ate. She'd finally gotten used to Mrs. Linh's codes and handwriting, so it wasn't as much of a pain as it was before.

Gwen grabbed the notebook and made her way to one of the seven lounges (One for each grade level of course). She hadn't been in here in a very long time, mostly because students used it to talk and be loud. Gwen sighed with relief when she saw that it was absolutely silent and empty.

Gwen sat down on the couch, sipping a bit of her soup and stopping when she burned her tongue. She put the bowl of soup down and sighed, flipping through Mrs. Linh's notebook. "How much did she write?" Gwen wondered aloud, flipping through the pages of the book quickly. But then she landed upon something peculiar. In the last thirty or so pages of the book, the book was hollowed out and the pages were super glued together. Did Mrs. Linh do this for class? Gwen flipped to that section of the book, wondering how she had missed this when she first started using it. "weird..." Gwen muttered as she noticed that inside the hollowed section was...

"A flash drive?" Gwen was extremely confused as she pulled it out. "Wonder what's in it..." she stood up slowly, going over to one of the computers for studying and printing. She put the flash drive in and watched as her screen turned pitch black and a stream of numbers and letters filled the screen. Gwen's eyes widened.

It was a code.

Gwen watched as the code filled the entire screen and scrolled down. It was never ending! But...what was it?

Gwen looked up, startled as the door swung open. Gwen frantically unplugged the flash drive and exited out of the program before the person walked in. "Oh... hey!" Andrew walked in, smiling. "Heard you weren't feeling good and decided I should check up on you," he frowned a bit when he realized Gwen was standing, looking extremely freaked out. "What's going on?" he asked, worried.

"Oh, nothing." Gwen stammered. "You just scared me," she shrugged a bit, hugging herself to conceal the flash drive in her hands.

"Oh, sorry," Andrew shrugged a bit. "Why are you standing? You should rest!"

Gwen sighed with relief and sat down on the couch,"I just wanted to stretch a bit." she lied, slipping the flash drive back into the hollowed section of the book before closing it.

Andrew sat down with her and nodded,"Do you need anything? You look extremely pale..." he noted.

"Oh, no. I'm okay. I'm just... drinkin' my soup," she held up the bowl, giving him a small smile. "Really, I'm okay. You should go, you're going to be late for class," she said nervously.

Andrew stood up reluctantly, frowning at her. "Okayyyy... but if you need anything just call or something, okay? I know you don't want to be sick for long,"

"Yeah, thanks, Andrew," Gwen nodded, watching as Andrew left the room. As soon as he was gone, Gwen stood up and grabbed the flash drive again, plugging it into the computer. SHe knew she could trust Andrew, but she had a feeling this wasn't for her eyes either. Gwen scrolled throught the codes until she made it to the bottom. Her eyes widened in shock. This wasn't just any code. This was a list of every agent in the world and their alibis and covers. If this got in the wrong hands, over 30,000 agents would probably be killed, not to mention their friends and families!

Gwen quickly took out the flash drive, logging out of the computer. She really shouldn't have seen that! Her mind raced as she grabbed the notebook and her soup bowl and made her way back to the dorm. Why in the world did Mrs. Linh have this in her notebook? Did she even know it was in here?

One thing was for sure. Gwen Callahan was holding the most dangerous file in Greystone Academy.

A/N: LOOK something exciting finally happened! Let's just say things are about to get really confusing and interesting.... dun dun dunnn

thoughts, questions, concerns? I'd like to know!

The picture on the right is of the hollowed out part of the "notebook" with a floppy disk in it. I know, it's very old school, but I couldn't find a picture of a hollowed out book with a flash drive in it, so yeah.

Next update on Friday (hopefully) :)
